I play every game. The odd game, if I'm getting blown out, I might fast forward a few half innings of pitching.

Normally when I 1st get the game I may sim an entire season to see how the off-season has changed. When I'm ready to invest some time into franchise mode though, I try play every game.

I only play a few preseason game though just to get a feel for new players before starting into the regular season. I'll play about 2-4 preseason games then I will try to play every single regular season game

I play 1 or 2 games a week sim the rest of the week and than do the same thing for the next week.

I play every game in Franchise. I have 6 left in my first season, Started in May

I play every game from start to finish. I just feel like I'm cheating if I sim; not that I hold anyone else to such a standard but it's just how I've always felt about sports games.

How many games per season do you sim?

Hi fellas
After 4 months with The Show 09 I have only played 131 games in my Franquise, but reading this forum I realise there are people who have already played 3 or 4 seasons. I guess you sim many games.
Question is, how many games to sim per season? 1 per serie? 2 maybe? 1 per week? What is your strategy?

I play 1-3 games per week depending on where I am in the season. If it is September and I am 2 back I tend to play a lot more than I sim, but in the early months I think I probably sim more than I play.

Ive played all my games this season. I am at Sept 26th of my Yankees franchise (1st season) so I am ahead of schedule if you use the real season as a gauge. I dont want to sim since I like to be in control of my own destiny. I also want to play this game until the new one comes out but we will see what happens.

Likewise ckarlic, had to restart my previous franchise though - I'm in the second week of May with my Yankees (21-11).

I will play out this entire season up until the release of MLB '10.

Well, I got the game when it first came out. I didnt start my franchise until a week after the game dropped due to the fact that there was an issue with the rosters. In the beginning I was getting in about 2 games a day at most, On the weekends I would polish off maybe 5 or 6 games. I do have a job, a wife and 2 kids so my playing time is sometimes cut short. Basically I am probably averaging about 1 game a day during the week and about 4 or 5 on the weekends.

I average about 1 game per day. This month or next I will finish my regular season, I am in 134th game of the season
