I'm happy with it. It only happens on rare occasions and with appropriate runningbacks.
I've broken out of a pro tak pileup with Marion Barber a couple times, but have never come close to doing it with Felix Jones. It adds a bit of unpredictability to those scrums which is what its all about. -

...cmon dude cant we just enjoy the game? I happened to find a copy last night and i cant wait till i get home to play it. Its the best iteration of madden since the ps2 days. Being a Bengals fan....it doesn't make sense. I wish I could say I've never seen that happen before, but I have. Not with the Pats though.
Regardless, it's not going to hinder my enjoyment of the game. The o-line blocking is MUCH more of an issue.Comment

I do think at times the original intention of Pro-Tak was to have this animation and the group-hug gang tackles occur with more frequency, until the forum jumped on them. That's just a feeling though. Since playing the past few days and my time with the demo, I've only seen break out of a pile anim 2-3times which isn't bad. Unfortunately it's just ugly when it occurs. From that standpoint I don't think Pro-Tak is very dynamic, as far as freely joining into an existing tackle attempt. Lots of times my players will just bounce off, if I'm not "joining" the tackle in a way that will allow the appropriate animation to kick in. At least from what I've seen; I could be wrongHBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Well I tell you what.. I am a Jags fan...Yeah poor me I know!! However, Maurice Jones-Drew had come out of a pile of players where you thought he was dead in the water. Next think you know you hear the crowd at the other end of the stadium and you see MJD running down field. This happens quite frequent in the nfl especially for the little guys like Sproul on the chargers. Plus people have let us know they are worried about this before and those that have the game said it happens 1 or 2 times a game... That's normal football if you ask meComment

The point of have your defenders out their is to stop the offensive. Yeah big plays happen but that was unrealistic. You have games like nfl blitz where things like that should happen, that's fantasy. This is suppose to be simulation football. The defense is not rewarded in a situation like this that if it were to occur in real life the ball carrier would be on the ground.
Yeah its a video game your right about that. But if it's simulation then let it be simulation. If its arcade then let it be arcade, 2 differences. The offense should be rewarded if they call the right plays and make the right moves, but the defense should also be rewarded as well if they have the right guys in the right position. Have the DB #31 come over to only do nothing and then just immediately go in to a slip to the side animation without even touching him is unfair to the defense. If someone beats me I want it to be because of stick skills not due to the help of the AI and animations that's driven. I would think we all could agree with that.Comment

Anyone that thinks this is play is possible in any parallel universe, whether it be past, present or future needs to pray to Jesus. Apex couldn't have said it any better, LOL!
All kidding aside, anyone that tries to justify this play is a fool. This where physics should play a huge role now, NOT a gimmick like Pro-Tak.Whatever you do, don't give constructive criticism or say anything negative about Madden video games! It seems to be the equivalent of a felony...Comment
