The Packers "GO PACK GO", Lions "roar" or siren, Jets "J-E-T-S, jets, jets, jets", etc. I've played a few games with the Lions, Jets, and Packers and haven't heard any stadium specific sounds after big plays. I always loved hearing them in last gen Madden and nfl 2k series.

Stadium/Team specific sound effects?
What happened to them for Madden 2010?

Re: Stadium/Team specific sound effects?
this is something I have wanted in Madden for years stadium specific sounds panthers growl, go pack go,lions roar ect, or at least give us custom sounds like ncaa.nfl 2k5 had these sounds. madden 2010 is a awesome game I like it better than any other football game to date gameplay wise, but still could use nfl 2k5 presentation. What happened to them for Madden 2010?

Re: Stadium/Team specific sound effects?
Yeah, I even IM'd Ian about this months ago, asking him to please forward the question to his sound guys. Guess it wasn't a priority for them. Seems like such an easy thing to implement though. How hard is it to add a couple sound events per team, especially when they'd add a lot to the presentation and atmosphere of the game? I'm pretty sure Madden last gen had these sounds.
What happened to the saying, "If you see it on Sunday, you'll see it in Madden 2010"??Comment

Re: Stadium/Team specific sound effects?
Yeah, this is a crime to not have this in Madden10. We should not have to wait till Madden11 to have something as basic as this. This has to be included in one of the patches. Has Ian responded to this yet. I didn't notice this till I play in the Jets stadium and then in the Vikings staduim, and I was like WTF??? I thought something was wrong with my game. We have to get there attention about this. The game is great but lack of this and lack of auto instant replays is crazy, please patch this devs.Comment

Re: Stadium/Team specific sound effects?
it seems like they would add these stadium sounds before the extra point show or any of that. Seems to me like stadium sounds would be a basic presentation element... whats the deal? I miss the panther growl.

Re: Stadium/Team specific sound effects?
I now I read about all this in a blog on M10. I went back to find it and it's nowhere to be found. Maybe the removed the blog because they knew they weren't putting it in.
IDK, who knows. Maybe someone like Ian or anyone else can chime in.
When theere was a thread about elite status not being able to be accessed they responed right away. Ahhh... the waiting game

I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was in the gameshark developer Q&A:
What about presentation? Ian, you told me at the show that you wanted the stadiums to all feel unique. How are you doing that?Ian: One of the most common pieces of feedback from the community (and internally from our own time playing the game) was that every Franchise game really felt the same. There was no real sense of a “journey” through the season since every game was presented in a similar fashion. Since we had committed to a huge investment in re-vamping our cut-scenes (and their respective systems), Mike Young, Tavis Kahler, and crew did a bunch of research to pick out some of the most recognizable pieces that you see in various stadiums around the league.
This addition alone in pre-game (and cuts to these types of scenes throughout the game) was a nice way for us to give you (the fan) the feel of each stadium and location being different. We realize that many people skip through pre-game cut-scenes once they see them a few times, so by making every intro feel different it gave people a reason to at least give a second look and keep the game feeling new and fresh.
The most exciting thing for me is that we will be able to keep building on this for the future, since a huge chunk of our time this year was spent actually just getting the tech in place. Expect community polls and wishlist threads soon. (smile)
One of the key details we had to implement in all of these fan scenes was some extra logic for the fans to pick jerseys of the current star players to wear. This really helps keep you immersed in your Franchise, regardless of what year it is, to see your fans out there wearing the jersey of your new star player that you drafted in 2012.
To add to this, we have all kinds of stadium-specific chants in the game as well – so now you’ll hear the chants that make you feel like you really are in that hostile opposing environment – such as “J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!” and “E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!”
Now Ian needs to explain his misinformation!

Re: Stadium/Team specific sound effects?
Ya know I understand that they need to make money. so I would even be forgivng if they sold this feature as DLC. But to not have it at all is not exceptable. This would be better than some of the DLC curently for purhase.Always drinking the Chicago Bears cool aid!

It wouldn't be "acceptable" to SELL it as DLC since it was promised in the above article.Comment

Re: Stadium/Team specific sound effects?
We were lied to basically, no surprise. But I'm sure they intentionally removed this stuff so they can add it as a "new" feature for Madden 11. Typical EA, it's getting tiring.
