old qb vision, how did you use it?
I'm writing this post for the sole purpose of my own curiosity.
In previous Maddens I always found it more comfortable to control the vision cone manually, as I could look-off to an area of the field without worrying about locking on to various receivers. (and all of the button presses involved). By the same token, in passing, when I was done looking-off and ready to pass I could swing the cone to the area of the field my receiver would be crossing into, then just press the throw button once, Instead of double tapping multiple times to swing the cone around to look-off, then finally pick a receiver to throw to. Just wondering if anyone else used the vision cone this way, or found it easier / faster NOT to use lock on? *There are certain situations where I do use lock on, as in passing to a certain player immediately when facing a blitz, but for the most part I never used it. Thanks. |

Re: old qb vision, how did you use it?
I'll be getting the new version sometime in September. Its an odd and yes I'm aware pointless question. In playing the older versions It just made me wonder, nothing more. For good or ill its gone for now. I'm excited to see what the developers have done in 2010 first hand.
I'm glad to see them pushing procedural technology. It's something that will take awhile to fine tune, but I think theoretically its a good direction to go in. |

i used it just like you did and love the QB vision don't why they took it out. All my friends didn't like use it but i force them too as you where force to use it online it stopped them from running around with vick then just throwing it when they weren't facing WR

I wish it was an option for Madden and NCAA still. I loved it.

Re: old qb vision, how did you use it?
I used the triggers about 90% of the time. I would normally not have a stud QB so my cone was normally a small sliver of the field. If I was using Manning/Brady types I would use both the triggers and the right stick. I miss the vision cone myself. It let you have a way that made awareness mean something and it properly represented how a QB can stare down a part of the field ect ect.
Still to this day, madden makes having a QB with 99 THP/THAs and 0 awareness a "good" QB on the field. Is it just me or did taking out the cone take a step away from sim and a step towards arcade...:frown: |
