Madden 12
i'm usually an optimist when it comes to madden, and most times i don't understand why everyone is b**ching about the game. but the last three years, correction, every year since coming over to next gen has been a disappointment. maybe EA needs to scratch plans for Madden 11 and just wait until Madden 12. I mean, to me it seems like they rush the game EVERY year. i'm not totally sure about their production schedule, but i thought i read on this site that they usually have the next years game nearly complete when they put a game out. this may be totally false, but if it's true, maybe they need a lil more time to concentrate on the game and identify all the bugs by throughly testing the game. i mean, it's getting to the point that it's becoming a slap in the face. each year they add something new, which is great, however, you have to perfect what you have before adding stuff. is that too unreasonable?? at the end of the day, i know it's business, but damn, show a lil loyalty to us suckers that keep coming back every year despite what happened the year before. i suggest taking a year off putting a game out. set aside a team that deals with Madden 10 via patches. i mean, with NCAA, we have a draft class for next April. you have the option to play all these seasons on Madden, however many rarely do because of the fact that either a.) you don't have enough time before you're trading it in for the next Madden; or b.) you stop playing because you feel the game sucks. this Madden made great strides for the future, however the future will NEVER be realized if they don't take the time to perfect what they have on the drawing board. just a humble suggestion.Tags: None -

honestly, if they continued to do the roster updates...i would play this game for 2 years.. -
Re: Madden 12
You choose: I'll give you a gazillion dollars next year AND a gazillion dollars the year after that. Or you can simply choose to receive a gazillion dollars two years from now. It's a tough decision so take your time!

Re: Madden 12
Madden will never be great again until they lose their exclusive license and allow competition to make NFL games. Both Madden and 2K were great when they competed, it's a shame the fans have no choice but to settle for one NFL football game every year. I am praying the NFL does not extend this ridiculous exclusive license that has KILLED NFL football video games.Comment

Re: Madden 12
Two things:
1) Not sure where you read that the next year's game is almost done when the present year game releases, but that is false.
2) They cannot take a year off due to the licensing agreement they have with the NFL.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Madden 12
Look at how well put together the nhl series is for this generation. They took two years to make nhl 07. And look how well it all came out.Comment

Re: Madden 12
well couldnt they just fix some key stuff in patches. Nothing big, but fix the Field Goal holding calls and maybe even the Wildcat success. Then just make a roster update on XBL or PSN for like 20 or 30 dollars. I would take that, because that way they could add way more features. I honestly could play this game 2 years.I will always, always be a Jets fan. But trust me it hurts.Comment

Re: Madden 12
i feel you, but Ian seems like a good dude (like i've met him, lol). i get this vibe from him reading his twitter page, watching videos of him playing the game that tells me that he IS in tune with what a video game should feel like and represent. i wonder while playing does he say to himself "damn, we ****ed that up" or "that doesn't happen on sundays". he should want to put out a game that blows away the thought of any other company making a game in the future. i mean seriously, look at how much we spend every year for a game that in the back of our minds we know isn't going to be that good and is going to need a patch for this and a patch for that. but we go into it hoping every year. imagine, just imagine what we would spend for a game that we absolutely LOVE!! no video game is going to be perfect, but when you have technology out there being presented by NaturalMotion, why not jump on that???Madden will never be great again until they lose their exclusive license and allow competition to make NFL games. Both Madden and 2K were great when they competed, it's a shame the fans have no choice but to settle for one NFL football game every year. Re: Madden 12
2k does nothing now too. MLB 2k9 = worst game in the history of sport games. So many glitches. I feel 2kfootball would of been the sameComment

Re: Madden 12
True 2K football may have become crap too, but if there was open competition in football video games maybe some other company would create some great new NFL game. I think most people would agree that having competition makes you better.Comment

Re: Madden 12
Amen brother. Ive been saying this for years.
But everyone already stated the obvious...wont happen.
And honestly, it doesnt really matter, because Im not sure EA would do much more in 2 years than they would do with one.
I like Madden 2010. I really do. But as most people would probably agree with, the engine is at its limit, and I dont think we will see a new Madden engine until next gen. So, we are either going to have to wait 4-5 years for the next gen systems or AT LEAST 3 more years for the exclusive license to expire before we see anything really new in Madden in terms of gameplay.Comment
