The worst part of this game is that, legitimately, on field, it is a better football gameplay product than 2009. In all facets of the game. This is however ruined and made pointless by the fact that progression ruined the offline main feature of the game, dynasty. No self respecting football gaming fan or college fan can have fun running a dynasty where Fresno State wins the NC, or USC loses the Rose Bowl to Troy or some **** (I cant remember but it was bad). But that, my friends, isn't the end of it. The REAL worst thing about all this is that even then, after playing Madden now for a week, it's very clear that even with progression fixed I wouldn't play NCAA. Madden is a better product, more polished, more precise. Running is as good as 2k5 was, passing feels realistic, and if you dont like the game speed, injury frequency, or, difficulty, they are all perfectly adjustable with working, responsive sliders.
So then the question becomes, for hard core college ball lovers like us... what is the remedy?
Fire the entire dev team for NCAA, and bring in a small team to take the Madden code as its being built, and make it college. All you need to do is add the art, stadiums, and the option to make the game play college. Scrap franchise and instead put in a recruiting system that works (very basic code) and a progression system that makes sense (again very basic code... shame on the current Dev team for ****ing up even a cup of coffee in the coding world). This would save EA money, give us a great football product, and smarten up the devs who ruined this once great series.
