Can the ball spinning the wrong way be patched?

Is that even possible? Is this on 360 too?

Of all the things to be worried about with this game, the way the ball spins is your complaint?

I don't mean any offense by that, I'm just saying there are WAAAAY bigger issues with the game than the way the ball spins. Heck, in NCAA the ball didn't spin at all for years. Much more pressing issues in my opinion

Yeah but why something miniscule as this cannot be fixed like that is my question? This is just a simple programming error. It's not a big deal, but it can be fixed. You get a sim football, claiming what you see on Sunday, blah blah blah, but the ball spins *** backwards?

      No, unnacceptable.

It's funny, I don't even notice it. I must not pay attention to it. How does it supposed to spin?...Clockwise? It's spinning now counter clockwise...right? You can tell by the shoestrings I guess in the middle of the football...correct?

Man, you guys have good eyes!

Agreed. It's not about the size of the issue. It's about the size of the issue versus how long it would take to fix it. This would take a second.

I notice it but it wouldn't bother me one bit if they didn't patch it. Much more important gameplay issues to worry about.

I thought it only spun backwards on replays for PS3, not gameplay? It's related to the double zeros on all the sideline players, I believe (compression issues or whatever). It's not a problem on the 360 from what I've seen.

Supposed to spin clockwise for righties. Counter clockwise for lefties. That being said, I can't say I've paid any attention to ball rotation. Too busy having fun playing it, and Arkham.

Are you implying that the code determining the direction of the ball's rotation is far more complex and difficult to fix than I imagine? If this takes more than 15 minutes for one of their programmers to find and fix, there is something very wrong here.

Exactly. The game was ported to the PS3 that's why you don't see the problem on the 360.

I've heard the argument about how it's only on replays but why does the PS3 need to be assed out on this? It really only takes a few minutes to get that glitch fixed. It's bad enough on the PS3 version on instant replays, the ball isn't even in the QBs hands when he throws it. But if they don't patch it, I wouldn't care much, as long as they make the game playable.

They do need to pay attention to small details though. Things like this show that EA rushed this game out with a quickness, not even paying attention to the small detail in front of them. If they're going to come out with a new slogan from "If it's in the game, it's in the game" to "Everything you see on Sunday is on Madden" things like this needs to be fixed, but before all that, it shouldn't even be like that.

I'm implying that unless one of us knows for fact how difficult or simple it is to program how a ball spins maybe we should hold off on assumptions.

This issue was a well known issue from last year. If it really was something as simple as it seems it should be, I don't see why it wouldn't have been fixed this year which brings me back to my point of, if we don't know for sure, how can we assume it is such a simple fix?

This is what we all have said, your talking in circles. Im not a computer programmer pro, but I do know enough to know this wouldnt take long to fix. Ive never noticed it, as I dont watch very many instant replays, but it still should be fixed, just like full replays. If you can name one football game since 2001 that hasnt had both of these features right(other then Madden) Ill take back my statements. The fact is, the only devs that release half done features has been madden. The slogan for EA should be if you see it in Sunday, we have a beta build of it in the game.
