    Career ending injuries.

So I am playing the first game of my Bills franchise and I am visiting the Patriots. Tom Brady has sliced and diced my secondary for nearly 300 yards but I am still winning 24-17 in the fourth. The Pats drive to the two yard line, Brady drops back to pass and I get my first sack of the game. Brady goes down with an injury and doesn't return so after the game I go to the medical center to see how bad the injury was, and it says:

    Fractured Vertebrae Career Ending

Has anyone else seen this happen to such a high profile player?

I got hit while I through and Hasselback broke his vertebrae. Also Mike Wahle broke his vertebrae too for the Bills.

Nice....not since 2003. My buddy lost Vick in our Franchise that year....it was awesome....for me anyway.

Do they actually have the little cart this time?

I always got a chuckle when a player broke their vertebrate and it shows them hobbling off the field.

Too many injuries and career ending injuries.

How many career ending injuries happen each year? 1, maybe 2, but alot of times, you dont hear about them. There are injuries which basically end careers. They dont stop players from playing but they prevent them from being 100%.

EA needs to tone down the sim injuries, or at least make the injury slider work for sim games as well.

            J. Mayo from the Patriots also broke his vertebrae in my Franchise...career ending as well.

That is the only career ending injury I have seen, every single injury retirement I have seen is a broken back/neck... same injury that is only season ending in NCAA.

if only this most overrated player of all time play came true in the first week against the bills it would be great!

I think there should be "career killing" injuries rather than "career ending" ones. Instead of having guys retire, just have their ratings take a severe drop after things like devastating knee injuries to where their career naturally ends, if that makes sense.

Get rid of the "broken veterbrae" injury. How often does that really happen?

Make the "career-killers" the torn PCL's, sometimes ACL's, etc.

Dude, that's harsh. I'm as big a Bills' fan and as big a Pats' ***** than anyone and even I would never want another player to suffer any sort of injury, let alone a spinal injury.

It happened to a Bills TE 2 years ago - career ending injuries definitly do happen, so as long as I only see them every couple of years, that's ok.

I agree with ratings drops after injuries though - as long as it wouldn't be drastic ratings drop after every injury. When someone tears their ACL, they shouldn't be able to run just as fast after. Injuries should take their toll in this game, just like in real life.

Pretty complex if you ask me, but I'd love for them to get some of these basic AI/bug problems addressed and go after things like this for future versions of the game.
