I just finished year 1 of my dynasty and the #1 overall recruit came in at an 83 OVR. Just wondering what your dynasty's #1 overall recruit came in as.

I had a FR DT that came in at 91. Seriously. 91. I made an 88 OVR WR that was the top recruit up until the "new" recruits came in when this DT took the top spot. I got both but still had the 2nd best class mainly because I didn't sign 25.

Highest I've seen is an 88 overall MLB. He was a new recruit in the offseason.

I once had a 3-star with a 83 I was so happy! but then I had A 5-star with a 87 Ovr an I was also happy! =] haha

We also had a 91 overall dt that came in the offseason. I signed him and won him the lombardi trophy before all was said and done.

Oh Lord I had an athlete LB come in at an 88 with 90 speed, it's a joke. How EA equates a 6'1 205 lb player as best suited at LB is a mystery to me but oh well.

And recruiting has gotten insanely easy for me. After my 5th year in dynasty, I signed 13 5 stars...I think there were only 25 total. I guess I will just have to only recruit 5 5 stars and hopefully by limiting the amount i recruit, that will help.

I agree with you on recruiting being easier, I just haven't seen it to the same degree.

After the bowl games were said and done (Penn St. beat undefeated Florida 41-38) the #1 overall recruit in my dynasty was still undecided. My school (Utah) was definitely nowhere to be found on his list and he was from the other side of the country. During the first week of offseason recruiting I targeted him, offered him a scholarship and made a few promises. I advanced to the next week of recruiting and there I was, at the top of his school choices with a full green bar! Of course I had no problems with that because the rest of my class sucked, but it just seemed so easy.

If EA intended it to be this way I can understand. They either did it that way because 1.) they wanted promises and such to have a bigger effect since we all know high school kids are so gullible or 2.) they wanted to cater to the 10-year-old kids that have no idea how to recruit and wanted them to have fun and get sucked into the series.

Yeah, unfortunately the only way to really slow things down a bit is to give yourself houserules for recruiting...

For example I have a dynasty going with SMU and here are my house rules for recruiting:
1. Depending on your school rating (SMU is a 1star to begin with) then you can only recruit up to a 2star player. Then once your program becomes a 6star program you can go for recruits that don't have a green dot next to their name but only 2off and 2def.
2. You can only recruit players with the green dot next to their name. Unless you become a 6star like stated above.
3. Not allowed to use ANY promises. This in my opinion is way too powerful of a tool so no promises allowed.

Anyhoo, it makes recruiting more challenging for me and frankly a lot more fun.

The "new" super recruits during the offseason phase is a perfect example of how these people know absouletly nothing about college football. Why???

i signed the #1 rated high school player in the nation.. a SS.. but hes only an 81 :\

I was this || close to signing the #1 HB, but ND stole him from he. He's an 86 OVR with 95 speed.

I signed the #1 WR who is 6'3, 83 OVR with 95 speed (this kick is a freakin' beast! He went for 120 yards and 2 TDs as the #4 receiver in his 1st game.)

And this next one just blew my mind! I don't think I've ever seen a recruit like this in my 4 years of playing NCAA. I signed the #1 OLB who has 85 speed and is rated a freakin' 90 overall!

09 was the worst for insane recruits. 94 overall freshman kicker.93 overall freshman DE. 89 MLB. Had those in back to back to back years.

This year, best recruit I've seen is an 84, number 1 DT. number 1 recruit was an 83 overall.

But this year has wayyyyyyy too many sleeper recruits.

My best has been a kicker haha, 86 Overall. They progress kickers right. He's only an 89 as a junior.

I had a 3* SS this year that came in as an 81 I think. Bigtime scouring of the list for that sleeper. Has the attributes to be the next Bob Sanders. He should be very good by his SR year.
