Is it too much to ask for cheese-free ONLINE games?

The HB Direct snap, QB Draw, FL Screen, Slot Screen are just some cheese plays that are ruining online play. Can the devs figure out a way to remove them in online play or somehow make them less effective?

They probably can't take those off completely. I just want them to bring back the fair play option.

Well if someone keeps running screens on you, play some FLAT zones. As for the QB Draw and HB direct snap pinch the line and audible blitzes with the LBs.

        lol...

i've played 100+ games online. 99% of those were ranked.

haven't seen any of the "cheese" you refer to. in fact, i have only played 1 "cheeser" who scrambled/ran with m. vick every play.

learn to set-up your criteria of who you play. this coupled with a less "cheeser friendly" game of madden than previous versions and you should barely ever play "cheese" players.

like i said, i basically only play ranked versus random opponents. 1 "cheese" game in over 100 played says you can play non-cheese games if you want to. and it's not that hard.

You must be blind or something...Online is filled up with the little homos....Go over to that cheese site maddenLab and the whole damn place is filled with posts showing Madden exploits..this fool around here, JJSTICKS is a moderator over there and is posting game glitches, himself, as an active moderator, for Christ's sake!! He should be banned from here... That place sux. Its all about abusing the AI's shortcomings and taking advantage of the game's design over there...No wonder EA is reluctant to talk with people when you have IDIOTS like JJSTICKS and his cheater's-paradise-website..

It's almost pornographic over there looking at all the ways to screw over the game...I just never would have thought up all that crap myself. I actually enjoy the game of football.. not the pushing of these stupid buttons....It's amazing how many people are naturally sneaky and dishonest. ...Their parents should be keelhauled.

            Yes.

This is never going to change, so you are left with the following options.

Play exclusively in online leagues, and play head to head games against friends list people only.

Or, if you want to play the majority of your games in the lobby or qucik match world, either quit the game when you encounter the cheeser, or tolerate the experience.

Re: Is it too much to ask for cheese-free ONLINE games?

I've played 2 cheesers and one guy that played straight up. The first game I played a guy using the eagles, guess what his go to was.

I play with the Colts and the guy couldn't run left or right because my D line is so fast he couldn't get away, I controlled Bob Sanders and ran mostly a flipped cover three, staying in the intermediate middle, I was fast enough to stop him for 4-6 yard runs. By half time I was up 24-7. Half way through the 3rd it was 31-7 and the guy quit on me. I finished VS. the comp to get the W.

Very next game, I play a guy using who? The Eagles. His game was almost just like the last guy's but he threw in a few different plays, I stuck to my cover three, oh I almost forgot, I would send my d-line wide almost every play, if it was 3rd&1 or 4th&1 I would slant them to the strong side. But Same deal, at half It was 21-10 and in the 3rd after an int for 6 he invited me to an xbox live party, I figured the guy wanted to curse me out for being better, but he didn't next thing I know my box freezes and I get the L and the DNF. Needless to say I learned a lesson.

Next guy played as the chargers, I killed him too but he played straight up, took his 20+ point loss like a man.

I haven't had much time to play but 66% of my games so far have been against cheese balls.

                so, i'm a liar or blind/stupid?

i am 40yrs old. i have played every single madden, console and pc, since its inception in 1989 on the pc.

i have, literally, played multiple thousands, and thousands of games of madden in 20+ years.

i think i know cheese when i see it. i'm a "sim" type madden player. i prefer as realistic a football game as i can get.

i play random opponents.. my online ranked record in madden10 is 65-36, with only 1 DNF.

i have played against 1 (ONE) cheeser, 1 (ONE) time.

                *** BTW, FYI ***

i'm not saying cheesers don't exsist. nor am i saying this game is cheese-free. i've seen JJSticks posts. i know about maddenlabs, etc.

WHAT I AM SAYING IS THIS version of madden is less cheeser friendly. couple that with knowledge of how to SET CRITERIA on who to play or not play, and you get the most cheese-free madden online exprience in YEARS (maybe ever).

repeating myself, but after 111 online ranked games, i'm either lying or stupid -- OR I'M NOT.

                  oh... just to add.

i DO play against stupid players... people who run the same 3 plays on offense over and over hoping to be successful, the guys who only call 1 defense no matter what down/distance to go, etc...

but i have yet to see any cheese you mention.

                  just my experience.

If you're saying this year's version is less cheeser friendly than before, then I agree with you. You just acted like it wasn't out there at all and YOU SAID YOU HAD NOT SEEN IT. It is out there. I guess I just misunderstood you (even though you posted you hadn't seen it at all), but whatever dude that's all...lol

Just ignore him, hes one of those 'cheasers' in denial. Thinking hes playing sim style but at the same time is dropping 20 yards back-left or back-right to avoid any possible blitz.

I've played madden irregulary since last couple of pc versions came out, and this one isn't much better than previous next gens. There is just so many ways to exploit opponent that its insane.

even if they are lazy and don't want to invest time and money to actually fix the AI so that it could adapt better to the cheese. I think they can remove the vast majority of the glitchers by just seeing what plays are being banned at major Madden Tourneys and remove them from the game or online. I am pretty certain they can keep up with the glitches since they're all over madden "strategy" sites. This isn't any secret knowledge that EA just can't uncover, its simply a lack of effort.

Why blame it on JJ or themaddenlab, people will come up with what they like regardless of any tip site, just look at the Games in Dallas this past weekend, there was 1 guy that all he did was run with Vick, made it to the final 4, came up with that on his own, Jet Steele & Problem played him & stoped him.

I suggest you learn to do the same, (adjust), EA will never make a perfect game.
