    NO PASS RUSH!!

Are they going to patch this my D-Line gets no pass rush at all and the computer QB just sit back and chills till someone is wide open but on the other hand when i am on offence they get to me in like 2 sec... they have got to even this up.. any suggestion anyone?? and don't say blitz bc i should be able to get pressure with my front four!

    thanks in advance

You won't get much pressure by blitzing either.

But, this has been said a million times and will get sent to the gripes thread soon.

The fact that it is INDEED a huge issue, is that the CPU gets to you easily with just 4 or when they blitz. When we try to do the same, our DL gets abused by AVERAGE OL and if we BLITZ, regardless of how many we send, MAGICALLY they are all picked up and the QB does his thing.

Now, dont get me wrong. I do get sacks, but ONLY with the player i directly control. The others under AI control NEVER get to the QB. If you watch replays, you will see COUNTLESS times, you AI controlled DL/LB will literally STOP cold right before they get to the QB as if they were wearing a RED no contact jersey.
That is INDEED an indication of a programming GOOF which "should" be able to be fixed.

This is definitely an issue. I played a full season and Peppers had 2 sacks.

The one thing you can do is lower their pass block and control a defense end yourself. I currently have 8 sacks with my other defensive end and a ton of hurries in week 7.

I am getting realistic numbers in the 9 games I have played. I do blitz about half the time. My LB sacks aren't that high but DL is doing fine.

I have one guy with 10 sacks DE, another with 7 DT, then it drops to like 4 but over all my numbers are within reason. The DE I am using only has like 4.

I am playing with a 4-3 team, I do hear there is issues with 3-4 teams but am unsure if that is simmed or played games.

Set your pass rush slider to 100 and the CPU pass blocking to 10 this will allow you to get pressure with your front 4 alone and for blitzes to work better as well.

I just realized that when DE's come off the line the tackle don't hardly back up at all. In real life as soon as the ball moves the LT and RT shuffle back to create the pocket which makes the space between the DE and QB smaller. But, in Madden this doesn't happen so if or when you break off the O-lineman you still have to sprint a few yards to the QB.

its because when you go against the CPU your going to have to break 2 blocks to get to the cpu QB most of the time because of suction blocks and its IMPOSSIBLE to blitz threw the gapes on the line

I'm not having a problem getting sacks either. Not saying you guys are making it up, but I'm just not having this problem. 5 games into franchise I have 2 dl with 2 sacks each, and I'm averaging about 2 sacks a game. Granted, I did have to tinker with the sliders a bit, but I didn't have to do anything too extreme.

I'll be glad when player play to there ratings. But I get ample pressure and sacks in a 3-4 defense. When I only rush the three line man we even get cover sacks. I will say the CPU O-line picks up the blitz to well.

Another sad side effect of atrocious OL programming

It all flows downhill from that.

I get a lot of pressure by blitzing. The only issue is the man coverage defender on the HB. I manually blitz though so that's probably why I get a lot of pressure. I know where I want a guy to twist and turn, the A.I doesn't. If the ILB's and OLB's did not slide away when covering the HB then it would be a much. Right now that's one of the #1 things I think that the MUST patch.

As for the DL vs OL I think a second step in the programming is needed to get the DL to also steer and push. The DL have moves to break blocks, but they don't have anything to steer and push. Secondly they always have to engage first then perform a move then get off the block rather than things being a bit more fluid where sometimes you do not engage at all.

I have been having issues getting to the QB with my DL as well, but what I know do is use the RS (left, right, up, down)first and then the speed burst once passed the OL, then when I am close to the QB I either dive or use the Hit Stick to try and make the sack. Also I recommend if you are getting held up at the line, try to use the Jump button to block the pass and/or possibly free up another pass rusher.
