    My first off-season *possible spoilers*

So I started my first franchise with the Bengals.. played out of divisional games and simmed the divisional games.

Tough season.. Carson Palmer had 2 injuries during the season so he made no impact.. Defense looked promising but we ended the season with a 5-11 record.

Signed a whole new coaching staff cause I wanted to take a different approach.. Norv Turner is the new HC..

Lot of players got released who where FA.. I wanted to get as much possible cap room for FA signing..

Now the Free agency was a big let down.. not a lot of big fishes in the pond.. and the good ones wern't really excited to play for the Bengals.. obviously..
I managed to sign Pierre Thomas and Mike Vick.. not great hey building a new team..

And then the draft came up.. we had the 5th overall pick and this is how it ended up..

    1st R - Orlando Sykes OLB conferted to SS = 87 - B
    2nd R - Chad Gunn QB = 85 - B
    3th R - Aaron Swank CB = 78 - B
    4th R - Jacolby Norris WR = 75 - A
    5th R - Brick Walker RE conferted to DT = 89 - A
    6th R - Jehuu Bacon WR = 80 - A
    7th R - Beau Pearson FB = 66 - A

So you can see I was extremly happy and surprised by the outcome of this draft.. I also managed to work out a deal with the Panthers sending Palmer to Carolina and in return I recieved Jonathan Stewart and Thomas Davis.

So 1 off-season and a whole different team.. can't wait to start my 2nd year..

Well just had to share this with you guys

That's an awesome off-season, good luck with the next year. Plus with Maualuga, Rivers, Peko, Sims, and Johnson all at "A" potential they must have progressed pretty well.

Bacon is a beast. I drafted him with the Lions and he was absolutely disgusting next to Calvin. Very strong after the catch.

Its' big fish, not fishes. HA!. Good job with the 5 and 6th round picks. With a name like Brick how could you go wrong unless he was a WR. You should easily surpass the 5-11 from the year before. So is vick bu or are you gonna start him and ween the rookie in?

So a player's overall can go up along with their potential even after a position change?

Just got lucky. There are a lot of bad rookies too. Very balanced. Have you not done a draft yet?
Don't look back too long and don't look too far ahead.

believe me, it is. I had like 3 drafts in a row where i didn't even manage to draft someone in the 70s, and then all of a sudden i had a draft with like 4 80s.

on a side note, very happy to see Chad Gunn in the game. I haven't had that draft class yet.
