I'm curious to know...
how do you guys play your franchises? i play one game then sim 2 games. it makes it more interesting to build the team up to see if they can win without me playing cuz if i played every game i would go 14-0 every year and win the NC every year. do you play every game or sim some??Tags: None -
Re: I'm curious to know...
I play every game. I finished my first season with MTSU 7-6, so I didn't go 14-0.

Re: I'm curious to know...
In football, I definitely play every game, unless I'm simming for a reason. Such as if I was playing NCAA 2004, I'd sim the first five seasons until it was 2009, mostly to get rid of all the players that have long since graduated.
On other sports games, particularly college basketball, I feel like I have to sim because I just don't have the patience to play 30+ games without an offseason.Comment

Re: I'm curious to know...
I play every game, I just don't control players on defense as I've found it is just too easy to user pick, or just make it impossible for the other team's offense to get anywhere.
I just find it boring to sim, I want to play every game, and if by some reason I do go undefeated(which has yet to happen) then so be it. It doesn't ever feel cheesy or anything.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

Re: I'm curious to know...
I was getting too good at picking the ball and such so I now play all offense and supersim all defense so now my team actually lets up points. I am 6-2 w/ Toledo and have lost to Michigan and Purdue. I just pulled a victory out against Ohio Universty 28-24. It also saves me time as a game now takes about 40 min to complete.Gaming hard since 1988
I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.Comment

Re: I'm curious to know...
It seems everybody plays all the games.
To the poster who said use WKU, yeah WKU is a terrible team in year 1 but once u hit year 8, 9, or 10, u should be at least a 4* team and be getting good recruits, which will make your team at least B+. If you still playin all the games this is where u could go 14-0 every season.Comment

Re: I'm curious to know...
Yeah but that's in Years 8 9 and 10. You made it seem like you could take ANY team and make em go 14-0 and win the MNC right away. That may not be how you meant it but that's how I took it. You did say every year.Penn State Nittany Lions

Re: I'm curious to know...
I typically play most games, but sim games I'm not interested in.
I play as WKU, and oddly I won the national title in my 5th year without trying. I built WKU up to 2 star school with recruiting and decent seasons. I won the Sun Belt title twice on my own and went to three bowl games.
Then I got two transfers from Georgia and one from Alabama in the same off season. The year they were eligible those three players turned my team from a C to a B. I played the first half of the year and was undefeated with close wins over a top 25 team and a BCS conference team. By week 8 I was ranked and started just recruiting and siming games.
I finished the conference schedule undefeated, but in the last week all of the teams ahead of me lost. I ended up number 1 in the country while the only one loss team in the polls (ND) dropped to number 2 and I was invited to the championship game. I then accidentally simed through all the bowl games and my sim team actually won the title.
I am making up for it in this new season though, because now all of my playmakers are gone and I'm struggling. I got my butt handed to me by Cincinati in the first game of the season, and I've struggled to win my first two conference games.Comment

haha weird when that happens. i've seen my share of weird things happening in the polls.(TCU becoming #1 and defeating Clemson in the MNC in year 2 is one example)I typically play most games, but sim games I'm not interested in.

Re: I'm curious to know...
I play every game. I do win most of the time, but playing in the Big 12 (as Nebraska) and on the Heisman setting (with beefed up CPU sliders) presents a nice challenge. I got a game coming up with Oklahoma that I am nervous about. Missouri gave me perhaps my toughest game in a defensive tussle. I almost lost to Virginia Tech in OT earlier this year.how do you guys play your franchises? i play one game then sim 2 games. it makes it more interesting to build the team up to see if they can win without me playing cuz if i played every game i would go 14-0 every year and win the NC every year. do you play every game or sim some??
If I am bored of playing, yet in the middle of the game, I might super sim, but even that is rare.Currently playing: NCAA 2010
Currently waiting: for a patch for Madden
NCAA 2010 Dynasty: Nebraska Cornhuskers
Record: 12-0
Ranking: #4 AP, #4 Coaches Poll, #3 BCS
Last Game: @ Colorado (W, 52-0)
Next Game: #1 Texas (Big 12 Championship Game)Comment
