    Shooting a loose puck ??

There is no talk of it in the instructions, is it just pushing up for a wrist shot when you get close to the puck ?? (Xbox 360 btw) When scrambling around the net, a few times I would use the poke check to try and get the puck and it looked like it may have been taking a shot... so I don't know what I should be doing, I only had a chance to play a few games last night so I couldn't do any further testing...

Can anyone help out and let me know what I should be doing ??

I think you hold down L2 or LT (vision control) while pushing the right stick.. could be wrong though.

This is correct. Also pretty sure you need to be standing in front of the net.

oh so you cant wind up an take a shot on a loose puck sitting by the faceoff circle or something ?? it is strictly for rebounds in tight ??

Not to my knowledge. Im almost positive you'll just check someone.. Yeah it was really just made for hitting in rebounds and such.

actually im pretty sure they mentioned that in front of the net in NHL 10 you dont need to hold vision control anymore when the puck is nearby, just shoot it. I'll have to test the theory when i get home.

yeah they mentioned it can be done on any loose puck, even in your end.

my question is, can you take a slap shot one timer? or do you always just push up on the right stick and what ever shot happens happens?? (which is always a wrister for me)

you can take slap shot one timers same as last year. you have to push up earlier and the pass has to travel a far enough distance for you to have enough time to do it.

so do you pull back on the right sitck and then push up when the puck comes to you like a normal slap shot, or do you only push up? I never saw anyone pull off a slapshot one timer last year for some reason..
