Once I buy the dlc can you lose it?

the question is pretty much in the title...I would like to unload the 1st patch, but am afraid I will lose the DLC. I paid for it and don't want to have to again. Anybody know the answer? Can you delete the save information for Madden and still keep the legacy dlc, or any other for that matter?

Im pretty sure the AFL dlc only works with the new patch... I know 100% that's the case for PS3. Don't know about XBOX.

Thanks, I appreciate it...I am just dissapointed by the mistakes they have on certain helmets with the numbers
