    Isomotion controls

This is holding back my experience of the demo. I really really really want to like this game. So ofcourse I need to know how to do isomotion. It seems very complicated, but I need to know the controls. I've used the search tools yet haven't found anything I could understand, or it wasnt what I was looking for. Plus I heard they changed this for now?

Here is an example of what I want (made up though)

Behind the Back: (Hold RT, push left stick back)

Or else direct me to a thread where they have this because I couldnt find it. Please help me. thanks.
I will always, always be a Jets fan. But trust me it hurts.

isomotions always been my least favorite thing about 2k basketball games. its always been clunky and unresponsive compared to Live's dribbling

dont feel bad bro, this has also been something that has frustrated me in the past. Live makes it very simple to pull off dribble moves, in 2k i pull of dribble moves by accident. I also would like to know how to use the isomotion.

Cmon someone gotta know this stuff. How are you guys pullin off these behind the back moves in traffic? This game is decent right now but I have no 1 on 1 game. I know it's involved with LT and RT and the sticks. If I'm gonna get this game I need help.

Whats so complicated? Hold the LT and then move left stick? Why is it so hard?

I think im going to use one of the alternate configurations were someone told me crossover is one of buttons or use the shot stick for crossover and just shoot with x button.

There is no flow to the isomotion. Its like guess motion, or delayed motion.

then does it become like lives controls?? because it seems a lot more complicated. Also is there an alternate control scheme to make it just the right stick?

I believe there is an alternate control setting for that.

                  Re: Isomotion controls

                  Behind the back hold LT+RT

say if your going to the right hoop as in towards --------> that way

if the ball is your right hand then hold the L stick down and rotate it clockwise

so the motion should be from 6 o'clock to 12 o'clock

if the ball is in the left hand then L-stick motion is 12 to 6 COUNTER-clockwise

if your going this way <------ with ball in left hand then the L-stick motion is COUNTER-clockwise 6 to 12

ball in right hand 12 to 6 clockwise

                  tell if that helps

                      Re: Isomotion controls

I also find it a little harder to pull off moves. In 2k8, I could pull an in-and-out crossover at will. In 2k9, I had about an 80% success rate pulling the move off. In 2k10, it's a lot harder.

But anyways, most of the moves stayed the same. Someone already posted the behind-the-back.

I believe the spin move is done by (assuming you're attacking the basket on the right, ball in the left hand) holding the left trigger and swinging the left stick from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock. If the ball is in the right hand then it's 6 o'clock to 12 o'clock.

In-and-out is done by holding both triggers, performing a crossover (either right to left or left to right), and then swinging the stick again to the original side. Eg with the ball in the right hand (moving to the basket on the right), hold both triggers and it's basically a quick up and down movement from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock.

                      Hope this helped.

in & out is tougher cause you gotta do the right motion in 2k9 I could just be real lackadaisical and pull it off

In & Out = RT + LT and right to left on RS real quick.

No. In order to get it as simple as Live, they would need to get rid of shot stick. And we know thats not going to happen
