Just had an EPIC game on my Franchise - Chi/Min Wk 16 MNF

I think I've finally got my sliders set perfect, after much tweaking. My last three games on my Bears franchise have all been thrilling and close. I lost a close one to the Packers in week 14 at home, 28-31 . I then went on the road to Baltimore in week 15 and beat the Ravens in OT, 38-35.

This brings us to the Week 16 matchup against the Vikings on Monday Night Football. Bears come in at 10-4, Vikes are 6-8. Soldier Field is in the 20s for temp, and it's snowing. We go into the 4th quarter tied 17-17. Tough, defensive game in the snow. I pulled ahead with a TD with around 3 minutes left, 24-17. I then had two seperate possessions after stopping the Vikes, but I couldn't get the first down to run out the clock. Anyways, the Vikings get the ball back with about a minute and a half left. I'm sweating the typical Favre come back. I end up holding them to 4th and 10, 31 seconds left, no timeouts. They've driven the ball to my 34 and need a TD or first down. If I stop them, the game is over. This is what happens...

I couldn't believe it. When Favre dropped back and threw it up, I saw Reynaud wide open. Anyway, I get the ball back with 18 seconds left and all my timeouts starting around my 35. Instead of taking it into OT, I'm going to try to get in FG range. I've got all 3 timeouts. I end up picking up one first down with Hester across the middle and immediately using a timeout. It comes down to 2 seconds left, so I choose "all streaks" outta shotgun/4 wide. Not enough time left for anything but a TD. I notice a favorable matchup on Olsen, and then this...

I play with a personally tweaked set. I started out with the Playmakers sliders as a base, but I didn't get the results with those that I wanted. But it provided a good starting point to tweak from, so over the course of several games I made adjustments here and there to quite a few areas until i got it where it seems to work pretty good. So it's pretty much an original set at this point after all the adjustments I made. I can post them if you'd like?

Hey now, I thought "At the buzzer" was a universally used phrase for anything that happens at the final second of a game :D

Baseball has the walk-off, Hockey has the siren, Basketball has the buzzer, and football has really nothing because the play can still happened after time expired, so maybe "As the final seconds ticked off the clock"? it's a tough one. "As time expired".....anyone got clarification.

I would go with "with no time left on the clock". I think I've heard that used a lot to describe that situation. Also have heard As time expired" with regards to FG's since they happen immediately after the snap, but i don't like that phrase as much for plays that can go on for 10 seconds or so after the clock hits 0:00.
