DT @ FB?
 

Anyone know how to get a DT to play FB? As far as I know, theres not. Eric Foster is DT/FB for the Colts, Dan Klecko was too.

I see 2 solutions.

A) DT's on the FB depth chart (my guess is the programming wont allow this)
B) 1 player taking 2 roster spots, basically, for example, 2 Eric Fosters one as a DT and the other labeled FB (stupid, I know)

I would go with.....Give up.....unless you really want to create a clone player for the 2nd position.

Miami has some interesting packages that put DE in various spots. You should take a look. I think one of them puts a MLB at FB, and there may be one that puts a DL back there as well but I'm not 100% sure off the top of my head.

I remember doing that in 05/06. Vince Wilfork in at FB and just plowing right through all defenders for a TD.

Why would you want to do that? The Colts hardly even use an FB anyway.

When the Colts do use a FB, they use Foster. Thats why.

in franchise mode:

1. editing the DT and switch his position to FB
2. startup a game
3. substitute the FB with the DT (who is a FB now) in the formation screen, ie goal line package press R1 on PS3.
4. exit the game.
5. editing that same player back to DT
6. startup the same game. you will notice that the DT is both on Defense and a FB (but only in that specific package)

It doesnt matter anyway. Madden has NEVER used real phsyics. It cant tell the difference between a 300 pound FB and a 50 pound one. Thats why you can fill your O-line with punters and get the same affect.
