I don't think you need a link for me to answer this question. As soon as the patch is available and you insert your disc, your game will tell you that updates are available and ask you to download them. You will be temporarily disconnected from Xbox Live during the download (which is very short). That is if you have an Xbox 360. All patch updates work like this, but I'm not sure how they work on PS3. I'm sure it is similar though.
