Should I Get Madden 10 for the PS2?
 

I was thinking about buying this game for the PS2 and I was hoping someone could tell me whether or not it is worth buying. I already have Madden 08, I want to know if this specific year's game is any good.

Then you already have 10. I.e. same game, new announcers. That's about the only difference between PS2 Madden 10....and 9....and 8....and 7.....lol.

This may sound a bit harsh, but I think Madden'10 on the PS2 is a bastardization of the series; mainly due to all of the unnecessary meters and guages that are all over the screen during gameplay.

If anything, I'd say get Madden'09 because the CPU AI (on-field) was improved from Madden'08, plus there are new animations and franchise mode upgrades.

Madden hasnt changed on the PS2 since 07 really. If you must get it 10, buy it used because it isn't worth $40 for the PS2 version thats for sure.

My Dad still has a ps2 and he likes the game a lot. Yeah they can't add as much of the "pretty" things on the last gen version, but for what it's worth I like the the ps2 franchise mode A LOT better. It is a polished game. In a few years hopefully the current gen version will be as well.

Exactly. I bought the PS3 version for the first time, played franchise for a week, then traded it in for the PS2 version. The ability to create custom special packages is a must in franchise. It's a joke that can't be included in next-gen Madden.

looks like it plays like last gens maddens. which is a plus cuz next gen lacks on gameplay and realism area. so i say yea get it
