Defensive/Attack Style settings

I am admittedly a casual player of this game. Do love it, though!

Whenever there is a stoppage in play, I have the ability to make defensive and/or attack style changes via the right directional pad (XBOX 360).

I can't seem to find any information on what these settings are, what they do, nor even what all of the available options are!

So, I am appealing to the more experienced among us.

What are the options? Why would I change them? When (game situation) would I change them? Please, as much information about these as possible would be most appreciated.

A good place to view those settings and to read a description of them, is to start a season, then go into your team's coach options/strategy.

hey guys, another question concerning strategies. Is there a way to change team strategies for play now...without having to do it ALL the time I start a game

No I actually asked for that last year and "was told" they would look into it but, alas no cigar.
