    Increasing CAP abilities

Hi all, I'm new to APF so be gentle lol

I believe that you can up the amount of abilities you can give to your created players to 5 for gold rated player. how exactly do you do this on the PS3?

Yes, you have to get all the Achievements/Trophies, but I believe there is a way to bypass this on PS3 by copying a file of some sort. I'm not sure of the trick (I have a 360, myself) but I'm sure if you look around on here, http://2ksports.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=77 or http://www.2kfootballstrategy.com/ you will definitely find it. I've seen it posted many times before.

      Good luck!

          Re: Increasing CAP abilities

If you have APF on the PS3 then you can download the profile of someone who has all the achievements and be able to make 5 ability Golds. Really useful since no one plays online very much any more.

I believe you can and you can't. If you can get a copy of someone's Roster file from the 360 who has the 5-Ability CAP you can use their roster but once you go in to edit a specific Legend you will lose all the 5 Abilities.

There are plenty of threads on here to help you unlock the Achievements on here fast. Took me a small part of an afternoon to do mine.

                Re: Increasing CAP abilities

Ok I have uploaded it download it from this link and follow my instructions:

                <!-- m -->http://files.filefront.com/PS3+allpr.../fileinfo.html<!-- m -->

                1. First unzip the file
                2. When you unzip it there will be a folder "PS3" with a bunch of stuff in it
                3. Copy the folder "PS3" on your usb flash drive or whatever you are using to put it on your ps3 ( I used my psp )
                4. When its connected to your ps3, go to the Xross Media Bar and go to Game>Saved Data Utility
                5. At the very top of the list inside saved data utility should be your storage medium. when I had my psp hooked up in usb mode, it appeared at the top of the list.
                6. Go inside the storage medium (hit X or whatever) and inside there you should see my all pro profile.
                7. With my all pro profile highlighted, push triangle and hit copy. I think from there it should put it on your hard drive

Now its on your hard drive so now go start up all pro 2k8.

                8. Move the right stick to open the 2k menu (ya u already knew that)
                9. Go to Features>User Profile
                10. You'll see your profile on the 1st controller slot then probably a bunch of <none>
                11. Push X and it will say 'Select User Profile Option' and select Load
                12. It will tell you its going to overwrite your user profile, are you sure? Hit yes it doesnt really overwrite it
                13. Now it shows all the all pro profiles on your hard drive in XMB style. Go to mine, Its called Donny, And load it.
                14. Go to features>trophy room. you should see all 50 trophies there and a msg will pop up saying 'Congratulations Donny! You're an All Pro! You're better then O.J., Singletary, Elway, etc etc blah blah 5 ability caps'
                15. Now go to teams and create or edit a player and it should let you create with 5 abilities.

Ok well my ps3 friends try this and hopefully it works, sorry I dont know about xbox guys, Im pretty sure the trophies are tied to your guys accounts so I don't know what to do there.

Anyone have a profile to download? Picked up a new PS3 after mine broke and I lost my old download. The links no longer seem to work.
