    Holding penalties

One problem I seem to have is taking a large amount of holding penalties. I'll pin some guy against the boards and someone on my team will take the puck but my guy will still be pinning the other player to the boards and I get a holding penalty. Is there anyway to prevent this?

Yeah, you can't hold the button too long (obviously); and I think the sweet spot is to let go EXACTLY when your teammate scoops the puck. Also, I'd say it's better to let go too soon than to hold it for too long.

Keep in mind also, though, that sometimes killing a penalty will swing momentum back in your favor. Plus I score on the PK a lot - maybe too much. I welcome most PK opportunities.
