Scoring in Madden.
 

I'm having a great time with Madden this year. I have one question though.

How come I never see games where a team flat out loses? Games are always within a field goal or touchdown. Kind of irritates me sometimes.

I've yet to see a score like 28-7, 30 something to 10, etc. Its always 24-21, 21-17, ya know. Its like when I score, the CPU team (8 times out of 10) will score on the next drive.

If I DONT score, the cpu usually wont score on the next drive, lol. Its funny. By the way, I'm referring to the games you actually play out.

I know what you mean. I want these too.

Sometimes, I'll be winning like 24-3, but then the CPU scores two TDs in the fourth to make it a one possession game. It seems that I cannot do anything to get a score like this without a complete blowout (50+ points to 0).

Play on Rookie, you will blow out the computer.
Play on All-Madden, you'll get blown out.

I don't know what your sliders are. With the ones I'm using, I just beat a team 35-14. The ones I was using before that, I lost one 35-17, won the next one 23-6.

I'm trying to get MORE close games - especially lower scoring close games.

You guys must suck, because even on all pro i can score 50+ points with cullpepper as my quarterback, and ive even had a 73-0 game against a team lead by josh freeman. Its weird that i get shutouts against rookie qbs :woot:. I guess it may be that I sim defense, but i dont know.

I guess I do then. All Pro default, I just lost to the Ravens 20-10.

Those are the exact type of scores that I'm looking for. I just finished a game against the chargers who are rated 86, I'm using the Browns rated at 81 I think it is? Score.. you guessed it, lol. 30-27 chargers.

I didnt mind the loss, but I wanted it to be more decisive.
