Personalities?
Does anyone really look at these when drafting?

Re: Personalities?
I personally don't, I've never had personalities really effect too much. -
Re: Personalities?
Personalities can have some effect when it comes time to re-signing players. Players with a Optimistic personality will be willing to give you a paycut; players like Lance Briggs with a more self-centered personality can be more difficult to re-sign.Comment

Re: Personalities?
Personalities actually play a larger role than a lot of players realize. There are some players that no matter how hard you try...you cannot resign them....most of the time this is because of a personality clash with the coach's personality. Sometimes you have players that will not re-sign simply because they are prima donnas...superstar personalities...think the Wide Receiver Syndrome or DeAngelo Hall. Also...there are times when you will have players who will actually hold out entire seasons because of their personality traits...I have had it happen. Hell, some players will even retire early just to leave a team...and then come back 1 to even sometimes 3 years later. There is a lot of crazy unpredictable sh*t that does happen in this game the more you play it.Comment

Re: Personalities?
in drafting I don't really look at personalities. I figure I can sign the players to a rookie contract pretty easily and I usually put some points into chemistry and some of the charisma-like special skills so personalities don't affect much other than negotiations. When resigning I will look a lot more at personalities, especially for backups. If I am going to resign a backup he better be optimistic.Comment

Re: Personalities?
Nope, I never look at them. I'm a "my way or the highway" kinda guy.
I also never offer more then the #1 option on contracts... unless one of the other options is lower (it happens sometimes). Never, under ANY circumstances do I offer incentives.
I rarely if ever lose out on anyone worth keeping. Very rarely a free agent will walk away from me, the only noteable one I can think of is Ray Lewis.Comment
