My Ncaa 11 wishlist for the EA Devs response??

Before I begin this I would love if I could get some feedback from Adam or any other developer that would be pretty neat, maybe talking about what is realistic and not, although I feel like it all is seeing what other games have done.

First and before anything for me has to be presentation/atmosphere. There should be more than one crew similar to NCAA BB 10(who doesn't wanna hear Todd Blackledge one week then Verne Lundquist the next?). The games should also have real stat overlays. There should be a college gameday and college football final, gah that would be sweet. Of course if you are going to implement these things make them great and make sense. Ex: dont show useless highlights have commentators that talk football. There should be updates during the game involving presentation, like a sideline reporter, what we have now doesn't count, also updates from other games that the reporters talk about. The atmosphere, you should be able to tell when the number one team visits of course a lot of this deals with presentation but I would like to see a "smart" and more realistic crowd. For instance they yell on big downs not the entire game they sit and get up. etc.. Also back to presentation maybe mention stuff about recruiting have an extra crew come in and analyze recruits and recruiting classes, Like Tom Luginbill.

Next would be fix the gameplay, real physics! I also would love to see trick plays. Look at Gus Malzhan, how cool would it be to imitate some of his stuff. Of Course to do this EA would have to make misdirection and trick plays would have to work you should be able to fool a defense by running misdirection and using a star player as a decoy etc.. And after you do it have the analyst break it down.

My next want would be a coaching carousel and the ability to hire a staff. Just look at ch2k8 here. When one staff leaves so does that style. Maybe one coach and staff are great recruiters, some are just flat out awesome with x's and o's. They all cost money! So you wouldn't see a Bob Stoops at Temple. You could also see coordinators rise and maybe get that head coaching job, then they good be a bust. Then again there are just some coaches meant to be coordinators like FSU's D coordinator I think Mickey Andrews. He was their D coordinator for 26 years I think. This means just b/c you have a good coordinator he shouldn't automatically jet for a bigger gig there should be soe kind of "relationship" rating with the school he is at. Plus you should be able to pay him good enough to stay if you want him.

Again following CH2k8 the ability to scout and gameplan against upcoming opponents. Maybe the ability to add a few wrinkles in each week, for instance tweak a few plays, this could go along with create-a-play.

Story lines! There should be interesting story lines that involves coaches and maybe even players. Ex: This team has beaten this rival 5 years in a row, etc.. Also stats like that would be nice to see "coach a" is 5-0 at home or 3-0 against this team etc... Have the commentators comment on these story lines

This next one kind of ties in with gameplay I would like to see ratings matter. If you have lock down corners you should be able to blitz more and play more man than a team with a corner who has a horrible Man coverage rating. A power back should act like a power back and bruise your opponent, scat backs shouldn't be trucking people. Also maybe your coaching staff has something to do with how your players progress when they get in your system.

Teams should play like their real life counterparts of course this would change a few years into the dynasty when different coaches and coordinators get shuffled around. Also some teams should have "ceilings" sure Boise State wins alot of game but they just are not going to land a top 5 recruiting class heck probably not even a to 30 class. Going with this...give us the real BCS we should very rarely see a non BCS program in the NC.

Next deals with recruiting there should be busts and hidden gems. A lot of great ideas have been talked about in the Player progression thread. I love the work ethic rating. All in all recruiting should just be more in-depth, Example CH2k8.

That is all I can think of for now. Come on EA step up to the plate and give us not only the best college football game but best football game to date!

Feel free to add whatever you like.

Great ideas. I liked everything about this post especially:

I play with Boise State every year and I have top 3 recruiting class every season. This should not happen. And it should be more than very rarely that a non AQ gets to the NC. Also, the BCS at large births should not be solely dependent on ranking. Use the star rating for the team and conference (which I will get to later).

I would like to add, dynamic scheduling. Staying with Boise State here, everyone knows Florida is never going to come to Boise, or any other powerhouse for that matter, hell, they don't even want the Broncos coming to their house. It should be tough to get a top BCS team to play BSU. Of course this would somewhat change if Boise State was in a BCS conference, which leads me to my next add:

Conferences AQs should also be dynamic. If a conference goes south its AQ should be taken away. The opposite goes for if a conference gets better ie. MWC getting an AQ (which is likely to happen irl after 2012). Maybe give conferences the same star rating as teams based on an average of the Star ratings of the teams in the conference.

Another thing that need to be dynamic that has been talked about quite a lot is... Rivalries! Use recent series record, if they play every year and maybe use the ESPN instant classic game rating. For example, if two non-rivals play each other every year for 10 years and go 5-5 with an average game greatness score of say 500 or so that game should become a rivalry. Also have a rivalry rating based on the same criteria, say a rivalry goes 10-0 with 10 blowouts the rivalry rating would be quite low but 5-5 with 10 games that were super close, a very high rating. I do think that once a game becomes a rivalry it should always be a rivalry but just have a very low score so it's not actually like a rivalry but you still get the trophy for winning it, because we all know that no matter how bad Michigan gets and how many games to Ohio State they lose, that game will always be considered a rivalry. Also, add in ALL REAL LIFE RIVALRY TROPHIES and if new rivalries get to a certain rating we should be able to create a trophy.

I like that rivalry rating idea James, maybe have the higher rivalry rating the higher impact it'll have on visiting recruits or something like that?

Yeah that's what I was thinking. And just have the feel of the game be huge if it had a high rating but for that they'd have to do something with atmosphere and making big games feel big.

Rivalries are definitely one thing that makes College different.
