I think they both deserve to be 99's.

And Charles Woodson should be close behind at a 98.

revis is a fine cb, but i go with c. woodson. just makes to many all around plays. i dont think people realize his numbers each year. even in oakland he made plays that went under radar.

Champ Bailey has to be in this discussion also. But those are the best corners in the leauge. Woodson does make a lot of plays other than just covering his man though. Not saying he is the best, but is also up there. Love the way Davis & Asomugha play too. Can't argue with either one of them. They might all deserve to be 99.

              Check this out:

One key note is that Revis has been thrown at 65 times this year compared to Asomugha's 19.

Wonder why he's been thrown at so much?

I guess QBs are determined to "test" him?

Hard to tell about Asmougha from these stats since he's only been thrown at 19 times in 11 games. Guess that makes his 82% Completion rate allowed a sample size issue. Though, maybe it's like the thing they say about outfield assists: the better the outfielder's arm, the fewer assists he gets because guys just don't run on him.

Of course, if the choice is throwing at Asmougha or Chris Johnson or Routt...yeah...

Hurts to see Ronde Barber's numbers. 122 QB Rating allowed...the pains of a vet on the downside of his career.

When Randy Moss is held to 9 catches for a total yards under 100... in 2 games. You are an elite corner without a doubt.

I'm surprised Revis gets thrown at as much as he does. QB's have very little success. Not a lot of people throw on Aso but when they do they are successful.

Maybe Revis baits the QB to make them think the receiver is open. Other then that I don't know why he gets thrown at all the time.

Maybe it's just because the Jets have faced tons of elite WR's every week and teams refuse to not throw to there top guns. Do you expect Brady not to throw a couple of deep balls up to Moss?

Maybe I'm a homer, but Antoine Winfield deserves to be up there as well. The Vikings pass defense isn't the same with him out and teams try to pick on Cedric Griffin when he's in there. He's one of the best tacklers at his position in the NFL and hits like a Mack truck. He won't blow you away with INT stats, but he's one of the best CB's in football. Not saying he's the best, but he gives others a run for their money.

Sorry to hijack the thread as I know Revis and Asomugha are elite players as well.

I think the OVR is getting too much attention. Nick Harper at a 77 overall is not a good corner, whereas a 66 overall Mike Mickens plays lightyears ahead of him due to man and zone coverage ratings. The only downside seems to be the awareness, which only affects penalties (Mickens always gets a face mask when he makes a tackle, it seems. Harper never gets flagged). Revis could be the better than Aso in Madden, just look at the positional ratings rather than the overall. I don't have the newest update just yet so I can't check the current ratings, but I would imagine they're probably pretty close

Where is the love for Dominique Rodgers Cromartie? He has been lockdown over the past couple of weeks and is definitely the fastest corner in the game. He's only going to get better.

I like Revis a lot..he's easily up there with Nandi, Champ and Cortland Finnegan.

I agree. Your DLine with Allen and the Williams Twins makes for some hurried/bad passes as well.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.
