Finding the Perfect Slider Set Post Patch 2

    Offense:
On offense, I do not believe in saying, "Do not run money plays or pitch plays, or screens." I believe in finding a slider set that makes it so you can run these plays, but at a limited success rate. I think the patch really helps with the flats, and also with QC accuracy. Run the kind of offense you want with these!

    Defense:
Defensively, there's not much I can tell you. Be whoever you want. You don't have to control one player. I hate slider sets that say, "You have to be the middle linebacker for these sliders to work correctly." Be the player you want. They will still work.

    Special Teams:
This is the one area that is not fixable. Let the computer return your punts and kickoffs. Kicking and punting wise, to make more of a challenge, I do not move the arrows. Instead I use the stick for movement.

On to the slider set. I have played 5 games with these. All the games have been Packers @ Vikings. I wanted to get a set that creates variety in games. So far, the games are 3-2, in favor of me (Vikings). The scores have been as follows: 21-17 Vikings, 24-13 Packers, 31-24 Vikings, 17-10 Packers, 20-18 Vikings. I am going to play one more game after I post these for stat purposes. Let's get to the settings and sliders now!

There they are. I will post stats after my game, remember, same game, Packers @ Vikings. I will post every stat from the game so you guys can see these. Give some feedback, I'm open to feedback, just make it positive to try make these the perfect set for Madden.

    Patch 2 Thoughts

After playing this game all day so far, I have found that the new patch really does fix a lot of things. I noticed a crisper gameplay and better animations, but I also noticed more big plays. That's the reason for the threshold being so high. Also, there's actually CPU false starts and offsides now! That is huge because you don't have to rely on holding and clippings calls to get penalties. I also feel like the CPU passing game is a lot better. They fixed the sack issue a little bit, but the CPU's line is unreal at default settings. I remember during testing before these sliders they would sometimes get 5-7 seconds of time. I'd have to say good job to EA for this patch, but it seems like it's the first patch they've given because the first one was downright awful.

Now go and play some games with these and enjoy the new Madden!

Have you try it in 15 minutes and accelerated clock runoff of 20 or 25 seconds ?

It's a great slider and I really want to play in 15 minutes per quarter with this one.

I have not tested these with the 15 minutes per quarter. If you can get a good play rate, 120 plays or so, then go for it. It shouldn't matter that much.

I just wanted to post to let people know, after 6 games with these, playing the same game every time, with the Vikings against the Packers, me being the Vikings, my record was 3-3 with 6 fantastic games. Including an overtime loss in my last game. These are definitely the best sliders I have played with, maybe it's the patch, but I have to say, my games have been the best I've ever had with this years Madden.

By the way, I changed both Kick Power and Kickoff Power to 40 because for the first time in my 6 games, the CPU was able to make a 59 yard kickoff. I think EA tried to add power to compensate for the huge amounts of kickoff returns for touchdowns.

I just bought Madden for PS3 and now am downloading both patches even though I have Madden for 360 because I couldn't wait any longer!

I'm gonna try your slider in a bit!

Finally, we can start the seasons!

Re: Finding the Perfect Slider Set Post Patch 2

The one thing I'm noticing is this, some games you might be able to pass and not run, and some it's the opposite. I have only had one game where I had both, and it was a good game. Also, it's the same with defense, some days the CPU can pass and not run, and vice versa, you just have to be patient. Your not going to see ten straight games where you win by a TD but "it's a good game". You might lose a few here and there now. Also, FG's are now highly realistic, especially ice the kicker feature. I took a timeout in the 4th quarter before GB attempted a FG with 30 seconds left to take the lead and he missed it wide right, makes you feel like your a good coach!

Which team are you being man? Good luck. If your line is struggling, don't forget to slide protect, on runs as well. I forgot to mention that.
