Joey Porter or Jason Taylor at LE?
 

In passing situations I drop Joey Porter and Jason Taylor down to pass rushing defensive ends. The LE always seems to be able to get to the QB easier than the RE. But I'm not sure who I want at the LE spot, Porter or Taylor.

97 pursuit

Jason Taylor
83 speed
75 strength
77 agility
88 acceleration
75 tackle
73 hit power
65 power move

92 pursuit

As you can see, Porter has way better pass rush attributes going in his favor. Now the question is do I put Porter at RE, hoping his insane attributes will help him apply pressure from the harder spot of RE, making life easier for Taylor at LE? Or do I put Porter at LE and let him dominate, hoping Taylor will be able to do something from RE?

I say Taylor. I picked him up in a trade (he was on the block) and moved him to LE and I ended up with 12 sacks with him. He had more then my whole team combine. Speed is the key for me.

thats exactly what i would do and exactly why i would do it

For my "house rules" i actually switch my RE/LE after halftime. Also if i play as a d-lineman i play as the RE to help him out.
