Do you guys pass to your Running Backs?
I was just wondering if you guys pass to your running backs or if you just stick with your Receivers. I pass to my Halfback quite a bit. He has won the Doak Walker award 2 times now. The first time he didn't even get over 1,000 yards rushing but he had 25 total touchdowns, 16 rushing, 7 receiving, 1 kick return, and 1 punt return. During his 3 year career, he has 115 catches for 1479 yards and 18 TDs.NFL- Baltimore Ravens

Re: Do you guys pass to your Running Backs?
i do, but not nearly as much as you. I run a one back offense and they're a lot good routes in there. I especially like the delay routes out of the shotgun although they were much more effective in 08-09 I can still hit them for good yards on occasionComment

Re: Do you guys pass to your Running Backs?
usually only if i check down to him. I rarely run the HB screen now as it seems to rarely work for me. I use the HB more in the passing game when I play with Texas Tech, but with other teams, I really only pass to my HBs if no one else is open.Comment

Re: Do you guys pass to your Running Backs?
I always pass to my backs. That's why the win the Heisman on my offline dynasty quite often. Even though I run with my QB a lot, my RB always gets the vote.Comment

Re: Do you guys pass to your Running Backs?
I run a ton of screens, which turn into a big play about 1/2 the time. The only other time I'll throw to my back is in Shotgun-4 Wide Slot Outs play across the middle or if I check down to him (which happens rarely). I also run the PA FB Flat in I form where I throw to the Fullback. When the defense blitzes he's almost always good for a first down at least no matter what his speed is.Comment

Re: Do you guys pass to your Running Backs?
I dont. The hb screen is way too easy, it works half the time for me for at least a first down. For me I think passing to the backs is cheating, just my input.Comment

Re: Do you guys pass to your Running Backs?
I dont run screens but the camera in the game makes it hard to see my wide outs all the time so I will instantly dump off to a RB as soon as I get pressured. I dont deliberately try to throw to them but find it very hard to throw to wideouts or anything that isnt a slot or TE. I tend to watch the line too much scared of getting sacked is probably why. I could have the greatest wide out ever to play and he wont get 10 catches all year so I usually put my #1 Wide out at slot.Comment

Re: Do you guys pass to your Running Backs?
Normally my RB get's about 20 touches a game; roughly 15 carries and 5 catch average. On one of my OD's i play with Miami and the Penn State playbook, Shotgun 4 WR, Slot Outs is my favorite play because usually if my WR's arn't open deep or on the out, i can throw the angle route to my RB for decent yards. I run maybe 2-3 screens a gameE-A-G-L-E-S!
