Stiff arm vs. Hit Stick What wins?

If I used the stiff arm against someone that uses the hit stick what would happen. I can't lab this in practice mode because the cpu never abuses or even uses the hit stick so does anyone know what would happen if a player with a good stiff arm rating say Peterson used it against a hit stick abuser. What would happen?

Would the winner be the person who presses the button first or in the case of the hit stick, flicks the right stick? What if I pressed the X button at exactly the same time he flicked the right stick?

What about the truck stick vs. the hit stick? What would happen if I used the truck stick at the same exact time that my opponent used the hit stick? Who wins? Is the winner determined by purely ratings or a combination of ratings and timing.

ADP vs. Bob Sanders or even ray Lewis what would happen in the VIDEO GAME? I'm curious because I'm tired of people abusing the hit stick so I wanted to try something else besides the spin move or juke to avoid it because sometimes I can't help but spin or juke right into another defender.

hit stick wins mostly all the time b/c there is no risk in using it...plus when ppl use hitstick there is a suction animation attatched to it which makes it even more of a success...hitstick all day

Hitstick always wins when both players are user controlled and both players are heading towards eachother full speed. Because of this you want to try to shake the guy or get an angle on him in the open field and not try to just truck him. Trucking works when the defenders don't have a running start.

There IS a consequence to using the hit stick. It's just not as risky as it should be.

Brah there is NO risk at all in using the hitstick...there was at one point but now...no way...hitstick is KING...if your playing online or even with your friends...matter of fact even against the cpu hitstick is KING...LoL even the cpu uses the hitstick on almost every tackle

You miss more tackles by using the hit stick. At least by the numbers that's how it works. Whether or not you, the user, feels that way is a completely different issue.

i'm just gonna have to take an agree to disagree on this one cause i don't see it...hitstick imo is too potent with NO risk what-so-ever...qb's, k'er's and p'er's still make huge hits...only kicker i've ever seen make a huge hit is the guy that played for dallas

i was just saying this to myself yesterday when I was playing...If someone has a beeline on you, it's best to just step out of bounds because there is no stiff arm or truck move that will work against the hit stick. If you can't make that player miss by changing directions, you are screwed and may even fumble. Too much emphasis was placed on defense in this game with very little offensive counters.

You miss more tackles by using the hit stick. At least by the numbers that's how it works. Whether or not you, the user, feels that way is a completely different issue.

you can hit stick online even when you are out of position, because of the suction animation attach to it. i dont know if these happen online only.

I understand that. It's a limitation of the tackling engine. That still shouldn't cause disregard for the other points.

Despite occasional suctions, there principle Pared explains still applies: you miss more tackles. I've faced good hitstick players, but even they still miss more tackles overall.

So if you understand that then how can you make the case that you miss more tackles using hitstick...hitstick has a suction animation attatched to it...you could be clearly outta position and still make the tackle using it...now w/o using hitstick your margin of error has to be much more precise...meaning you have to take the correct pursuit angle to make the tackle...with hitstick you don't have to worry about that get close...flip the stick...and BOOM big hit

Because it isn't always "boom big hit." If you followed the post you should be easily able to figure that out.

Just remove it...let use tackle like we use to running straight into a cat...let the speed, weight, leverage and all that other stuff determine the force of the hit
