End zone toe tapping?
Any time I try to throw an over the shoulder pass to the end zone, the receiver catches the ball about 7 yards into the end zone, then takes two huge steps and it's called incomplete. Is there some way to get the receiver to stutter step or toe tap rather than taking huge strides and going out of bounds?Tags: None -

i am sorry bro, but you just have to live with your wr going outbond every time. there is not you can do to keep those dumb wr inbond.Any time I try to throw an over the shoulder pass to the end zone, the receiver catches the ball about 7 yards into the end zone, then takes two huge steps and it's called incomplete. Re: End zone toe tapping?
Amen, and the funny thing is that it doesn't really matter in NCAA beacause of the 1 foot in bounds rule in NCAA, but it makes a huge deal in the NFL with two feet inbounds... Like they got it @ss backwards!Comment

Re: End zone toe tapping?
It is possible cause I do it manually whenever I throw the ball deep to my WR, I user catch it and keep myself in bounds.Comment

Re: End zone toe tapping?
Hold down on right analog stick and triangle(ps3), for the possession catch animation.
I think it may have more to do w/ the Qbs throwing abilities and how the trajectory of the ball is thrown to the the sideline.
I've read that to do this animation, you must tap catch button, instead of holding it like a possession catch.
I've done it a few time in practice mode and it worked when I held down on the right analog and either tapped or held the catch button, not touching the left stick at all.
So really its a combo of the pass thrown and stick skills to switch and hold down on the right stick while hitting the catch button.
Heres a few videos of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7G3A4TsUeA

Re: End zone toe tapping?
Pretty neat stuff there, but I've NEVER seen those animations in Madden this year. But then again, I never control the WRs either...Comment

Ugh I hear ya OP. I can't tell you the amount of times that I should have had a big completion but the stupid WR took two huge steps and was out of bounds.Comment

Re: End zone toe tapping?
Yeah I've had this problem many times, I see the sideline toe drag but for some reason it never triggers in the endzone. I've seen players catch in the middle of the endzone and take two or three steps but for whatever reason those steps never touch the ground and its incomplete.Comment
