The Draft is Over- What are the Results?
With the fantasy draft over, here are some new Big-Name Bengals:
Bengals first round pick: They were QB hunting, and it came down to Tom Brady, Brett Favre, and Aaron Rodgers. Bengals chose Rodgers.
"He's got a bright future...Favre might retire on us." Why not Brady? The world may never know...
Bengals 2nd Round Pick: Having a ground threat to go along with a sky threat is a good combo. They took the speedy DeAngelo Williams.
"If he can get around or through a defense, he'll be off to the races."
Bengals 3rd Rounder: Bengals GM wanted someone to be able to catch the passes from Rodgers. Why not take Chad Ochocinco for another round of fun?
"He's fun to have around and is an excellent WR. No doubt choice."
Bengals 4th Rounder: Bengals GM CGL had experience with this guy before...he can kick it far.
"No doubt for me. Rob Bironas."
Bengals 5th Rounder: Now they needed someone to lead their defenses.
"I searched through all our choices, and I believe this guy is the one. Experience and ability. That's why we chose London Fletcher."
That wraps up our look into the top 5 picks by Cinci! Stay tuned for preseason matchups!
    Better luck next year, Bolts.

Bengals look to turnaround a dismal 3-13 '09
The Draft is coming. Bengals are looking to turnaround a very disappointing '09 season.
"Hey, lets move forward. If we keep are heads back in the past, they'll stay there." says QB Aaron Rodgers.
The Titans and Panthers faced off in the 2010 Super Bowl in Miami. Titans beat the Panthers 31-17. The Underdog Titans came and toppled over Philip Rivers and the Panthers. Titans QB Chad Pennington had a great game, with 107.8 Passer Rating.

          Bengals Win Home Opener
Cincinatti, OH- With Game 1 of the new Season completed, the Bengals emerge victorious.
It looked to be a blowout for the Bengals. They led 10-0 entering the second half. The defense kept the Bucs to a field goal, making it 10-3. The ensuing kickoff Josh Cribbs returned it 100 YDS for a touchdown.

Colts come to Cinci to face the Bengals
            Cincinatti-
Fans are energized by last weeks performance against the Bucs. This week the Bengals will face the daunting challenge of the Indianapolis Colts.
The Colts are coming off a 39-31 win at home. Jason Campbell had a less-than-spectacular game with a passer rating just below 50. Bengals need to worry about the Colt's running offense.
Lendale White and Correll Buckhalter come off a game with a combined 24 ATT, 354 YDS and 3 TDS. This game will be a good one.
            Better luck next year, Bolts.

Defense comes out big for Bengals
In a game all about defense, the Bengals came out winners.
Jabari Greer had his best day ever (probably) with 2 INT from his own endzones back to the opponents. The only offense for the Bengals were field goals, with 3 (9 points). The Bengals defense was amazing, allowing only one field goal. The defense had 2 INT and 2 forced fumbles which were huge. The offense did'nt show up today.
              Final: 22-3 Bengals
              Q 1 2 3 4 F
              C 0 3 0 0 3
              B 0 3 6 13 22

QB Aaron Rodgers 11/22 90 YDS 0 TD 1 INT (Only offensive player post)
CB Jabari Greer 2 INT 195 YDS 2 TD
              CB Darius Butler 1 FF
              CB Tarell Brown 1 FF
QB Jason Campbell 25/34 217 YDS 3 INT 0 TD
RB Lendale White 13 ATT 41 YDS 0 TD
One of J Greer's INT TDS:

I dove at the end because I was scared the guy was going to tackle me.

                BLOCKBUSTER TRADE-MANNING TO CINCI
Tuesday, an off day for all NFL Games, involves a huge trade- Aaron Rodgers, DeAngelo Williams, and a 1st Round pick for Texans QB Peyton Manning and RB Rashard Mendenhall. Bengals GM CGL has this to say:
"I thought Aaron Rodgers would be good. But he and DeAngelo (Williams) haven't been living up to their Madden OVR Ratings, both at 94. Peyton Manning and (Rashard) Mendenhall have put up good numbers and I was interested."

                TRADE:
                Bengals Receive: Texans Receive:
QB Peyton Manning QB Aaron Rodgers
RB Rashard Mendenhall RB DeAngelo Williams
                1ST Round Pick

                  Manning vs. Manning

                  VS
The Saints and the Bengals will be playing each other this week in Paul Brown Stadium. Bengals will be featuring there new QB Peyton Manning and RB Rashard Mendenhall. On the Saints side will be QB Eli Manning. The two brothers will be going at it and it will be a great show. My prediction:
Don't expect it to be a passer's party. Look for both HBs to take the ground before the QBs air it out.
Turnovers will help win the game!
Saints will heavly rely on their secondary to try and hold back Peyton Manning. This could temporarly open up the running lanes for Mendenhall, so good defense is required all around.
                  Final Score Prediction:
                  Saints 23-Bengals 28
                  Better luck next year, Bolts.

                          Chiefs win as time expires

This game is what every fan asks for. High scoring, close score, huge plays. Both teams came out with huge plays in this game, but the Chiefs came out on top.

This was the Bengal's last game before the BYE. Both quarterbacks played excellent, but Matt Leinart (Chiefs) was injured in the 4th Quarter.

The game came down to a field goal made by the Chiefs as time expired. Bengals were on fire in the second half. As the 2nd Quarter's time expired, Peyton Manning threw a 58 YD TD pass to Josh Cribbs.

                            Patriots get mauled by Bears
(I simmed most of game, so I'll just put up player stats)

Patriots didn't seem much of a worry to Chicago. Drew Brees took on Patriots and he took to the air.

Well, today, pigs did fly. (We don't mean literally...alright, it kind of is. Pigskin.)

QB Drew Brees 20/27 286 YDS 3 TD 1 INT
RB Felix Jones 8 ATT 92 YDS 2 TD

                            (Patriots)
QB Carson Palmer 18/28 198 YDS 1 TD 0 INT
RB Michael Turner 14 ATT 57 YDS 1 TD

Next week and the rest of the season we will return to your normal news of the Cinci Bengals!
                            Thank you and g'night!
