    Strat-O-Matic, Dynasty League, etc

I know this is mainly a PC/PS3/XB360 gaming board, but I was wondering if anyone else on here enjoys table top cards and dice baseball?

I know there is a large contingent of NY posters on here...any of you ever go to Strat's opening day in Glenn Head?

I actually prefer the table top games to the video games.

My son just ordered the table top game. Have you played the computer version as well? I'm kind of interested in the 71 season cards.

I have ABPA baseball and football games, but have only played them a couple of times. Mostly because no one else ever wanted to play them with me.

Although I have switched to the computer versions now.

I have the computer game for Dynasty, but not Strat. I also play Replay Baseball (computer and board). The 1971 season is one of my favorite sets...I have it for Replay and Dynasty (not Strat though).

I enjoy both as well...do you still have the board versions? I've been tempted to try Strat PC (I have DLB's PC game...can't wait for the online game!).

Gee i didn't realize there were so many different versions of table top baseball. Are APBA and Dynasty basically the same game as stratomatic, which is considered the best?

Growing up, I always played Avalon Hill's Statis-Pro Baseball table top game. (as well as Basketball and Football)

I've always thought I was in the minority sine I hear about so many people who grew up playing Strat-O-Matic. I did play Start-O-Matic Pro Hockey, though, since AH never released one.

There are MANY, MANY different table top baseball games out there (APBA and Strat being the most well known). Strat and Dynasty are more closely related to each other than APBA. Replay Baseball is a combination of APBA and Strat/DLB...it's really a fantastic sim (the thing I love is that the hitter/pitcher/defense are combined on each roll). Google Replay Baseball, Strat O Matic, APBA, Dynasty League Baseball, Dice Baseball, Ballhalla Baseball, Inside Pitch Baseball (by inside sports games), and Triple Play Baseball. You will see there is a lot of information out there and quite a few communities.

Still have the Dynasty Board version as well as it's predecessor Pursue The Pennant around here somewhere.

Strat, I lost when I moved home from college.

I am currently replaying the Padres 1984 season with the PC version of replay baseball. Great game imo.

Wow...I was actually doing the same (but also playing out the Tiger's games) and was almost to the All-Star break when my computer crashed. I've got a new PC and now am playing through a 1980's DD season playing every game. Replay is a fantastic game and Pete does a great job. Do you ever post over at the Replay Forums?

In my 1984 Padres replay, Gwynn went his first 100+ PA's without striking out and was hitting in the .370's. Gossage didn't give up an earned run for the first two months of the year (although when he did it was ugly...6 runs at the Vet against the Phils...ugh.)

Does anyone know of any table top games that is pitch by pitch? Or are they all batter by batter?
