Most Stacked Year (Celeb-Wise) in NBA Celebrity All-Star History?

It's been no secret that I haven't been frequenting the NBA forums as much. With the trade deadline and the all-star game around the corner, you would think that this post would have something to do with the current superstars of the NBA.

Instead, I would like to talk about, what was perhaps my favorite and easily the most slept on event of all-star weekend... the NBA All-Star Celebrity game. Every year I get excited as it's been a guilty pleasure of mine to see celebs try their best to hoop it up. Over the years though it has gotten progressively worse IMO as the there have been less "Timberlakes" and "Nellys" and more "Scooters" and "Rick Foxs'"

So for those who are huge fans of this dwindling tradition, here's a history. And I leave you with a few questions. What was the most stacked year celebrity-wise (not basketball skill-wise)? What was the least (is it this year?) What was the most (and least) entertaining year? Who is the biggest celeb to ever compete in this thing? Who is the best ball-player (Richard Jefferson, Cuttino Mobley, etc. excluded). Basically any and all things celeb-game related, if you're a fan, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

You may get your wish as this year looks to be the most horrendous yet. This could be the nail in the coffin. There used to be a time though when real celebs like Timberlake, Reggie Bush, Nelly, Ice Cube, Jamie Foxx, Tim McGraw, Bill Belamy, Frankie Muniz, Chris Tucker, Wilmer Valderrama, etc. would come out and you'd have celeb coaches/owners like Diddy, Gabrielle Union, Queen Latifah, Ashton Kutcher, etc.

They couldn't ball, but at least they would go out, have some fun, not take themselves too seriously, and provide some great moments (JT crossover, Nelly spin-cycle move, TO's throwdowns) and more often than not, some unintentional comedy.

Over time they added WNBA players, more ex-NBA players, and Globetrotters. Basically people who do this for a living but aren't as good as NBA players. That's when it got bad, IMO.

In my opinion the whole All-Star weekend is a joke now... Remember that the NBA used to have ACTUAL STARS in the dunk contest and 3-point shootout, but the All-Star game itself is okay for now...unlike the events leading up to it.
