Re: MLB`10 The Show Top 5 Second Basemen
IMO it's shocking to see Cano and Beckham missing. And Kinsler rated so high. He should be top 10, but take a look at his home/away splits and he is woeful outside of Arlington. Kennedy imo isn't a top 10 2nd baseman. He gets on base at an average rate. That's all. His defense is rated well below average and his bat isn't something special either. So it's kind of puzzling to me.. -

Re: MLB`10 The Show Top 5 Second Basemen
If we want to be technical, he's a SS. He was moved to 3B last year on account of Ramirez at SS and Josh Fields overall BAD at 3B. Now he's being moved to 2B with Teahen going to 3rd. Beckham's bat is better for a middle infield spot anways.Comment

Re: MLB`10 The Show Top 5 Second Basemen
So he's a SS being moved to 2B and you want him to be ranked top 10? Until he's actually proven at 2B he doesn't deserve a top 10 ranking imo.Comment

Cano 2009
.320, 25 HR's, 85 RBI's, 200 Hits, 100 Runs, 48 Doubles, 130 OPS
Ian Kinsler is the most over rated player in the game. Let me know when he finally gets a hit outside of Texas. Pedroia wishes he was good as Cano. Hudson, Roberts and Kennedy above Cano? Are you F'ing kidding me?Comment

Re: MLB`10 The Show Top 5 Second Basemen
My main beef is that Matt Wieters was put into the top 10 without even a full season at catcher with the Orioles. Yes, he is a natural catcher anyways, but I don't see how 90+ games immediately puts him in the top 10. Beckham had a more impressive showing while playing out of position and yet he's put below Adam Kennedy? It's just odd, that's all.
However, these aren't set in stone. As I'm sure a couple months into the season the ratings will be updated and Beckham, along with other players, will be where he should be in the ratings. That could be higher, or even lower, I don't know. Right now, I simply disagree with some of the ratings. However, I won't let that change how I feel about the game. I'm still stoked for next week.Comment

Cano was also a gold-glove-caliber 2nd baseman last season.Comment

Re: MLB`10 The Show Top 5 Second Basemen
I forgot to mention that Cano put up that line from the 7th spot in the lineup. Good thing Roberts, Kinsler, Hudson and Kennedy are ranked higher.Comment

Re: MLB`10 The Show Top 5 Second Basemen
Adam Kennedy blows my mind, haven't had any problems with the ratings until this one. I can think of a few guys that can jump him on the list..Even my man M. Prado had basically the same numbers, but with a better avg. i hope he's not much further down on the list then...
A.Kennedy 129 gm .289 11 hr 63 rbi
M.Prado 128 gm .307 11 hr 49 rbiPSN: OverPar8Comment
