Boston Red Sox Edit - Batting Stances / Pitch Deliviries / Equipment Edits

Use this thread for all edits Red Sox related

Daniel Bard - Generic 42 (Bard pitches exclusively from the stretch)
Manny Delcarmen - Generic 62 (Exclusively from the stretch)
    Michael Bowden - Generic 60

That's all I have for right now.....these are preliminary and are open to change if you find something that better suits that player

Do any of these already have hidden deliveries? BTW, thanks man! Any stances?

I played a game using Bard and Bowden and both had the same generic 1 motions.

Bard and Delcarmen both had generic1 windups. They both pitch exclusively form the stretch

Right now - I like the stances. I haven't bothered tinkering with players like Reddick, Bates, etc.....yet

I will do my research over the next couple of weeks and post my finds.

Anyone decide on an improved Clay Buchholz delivery? It's so difficult, I go back and forth. Most of the things about Arroyo's are correct, the high leg lift and composed form. But the leg lift itself is all wrong, it should not be a straight kick, he bends his leg.

I've gone through every delivery and I can't really find anything better though.

Yah, there isn't really one that's perfect at all. He holds his arms really close to his body, but he also has the high leg kick. It seems like there are so many in the game that have either or, but not both of those features.
The 3 closest I found are: Carpenter, Robertson, and Saunders. I think I'll try Saunders for now.

Re: Boston Red Sox Edit - Batting Stances / Pitch Deliviries / Equipment Edits

Here are some of my edits:

Lowell - A. Gordon or Ryne Sandberg. I personally like Sandberg.
Ramon Ramirez - Gen 10 or Corpas. Gen 10 has the right leg kick, but Corpas has better follow through. I like Gen 10 for now.
                Cameron - Blanco
                Drew - Gen 13
                Ortiz - C. Izturiz
                Scutaro - Gen 76
                Varitek - Gen 24 or Gen 48. I like Gen 48.
                Hermida - Gen 37
Reddick - Catalanatto or Miguel Cabrera

Now are edits I have from watching just 1 or two spring training games. For stances and deliveries, I've chosen a number of possible options but haven't fully checked to see which are best. So feel free to tell me which ones you think are the best.
Scutaro - long pants, long sleeves, batting gloves - mostly blue with some white, black bat.
Pedroia - black bat, batting gloves - gray fingers, navy blue, white, right wrist tape - gray, left arm tape - white, black elbow guard, gloves in pocket, 3/4 sleeves, long pants, black shin guard.
Youkilis - batting gloves - mostly red with some white, black bat, nothing on sleeves, glove - black with light brown top.
Beltre - batting gloves - red wrist, main part white, navy blue small part, bat - black top with medium stained bottom, black wrist tape on both arms.
Varitek - red high socks, batting gloves - mainly white, red knuckles, white wrist, shin guard, long red sleeves.
Kalish - Stance - Crawford, black bat, batting gloves - mainly white with some red and black wrists, right sleeve 3/4, left sleeve long red, fielding glove - black with red spot, high socks red, right arm - black wrist tape, left sleeve long red.
Reddick - batting gloves - mostly red, navy blue fingers, white part, nothing on sleeves, bat - black top with natural bottom (see above for stance)
Tazawa - 3/4 sleeves, black glove, baggy pants, Delivery options - McCarthy, Palmer, Smoltz.
Kyle Weiland - long sleeves, black glove, long pants, Delivery options - Porcello, Robertson
Iglesias - Tan fielding glove with dark brown laces, right arm 3/4 sleeve and black wrist tape, left arm long sleeve, turtleneck, black bat, batting gloves - mainly white with red fingers and black wrist, black shin guard, Stance Options - Guillar, Holiday, Inge, Infante, Phillips, A-Rod (I think is the best one)
Navarro - fielding glove - mainly blue with tan pocket, batting gloves - mainly red with white part and red fingers and red wrists, nothing on sleeves, Batting Stance - Lind.
Kris Johnson - sleeves above elbows, baggy pants, black glove, Gen 39.
Angel Sanchez - batting gloves - mainly white with black fingers, pine bat, long pants, Stances - Inge, Felipe, Lopez.
Bates - batting gloves - white, black tape on left wrist, nothing on right arm, sleeves above elbow, left arm black elbow guard, long pants, black bat, Stances - Gwinn Jr., M. Ramirez, Gen 76.
Castro - baggy pants, long sleeves, black glove, Delivery - Franklin.
Bierd - long sleeves, silver glove, long sleeves, long pants, Delivery - E. Jackson.

Thanks for the ideas. I think, of the ones you listed, I like Saunders best. Only real problem with that one is that he doesn't drive through the delivery with his whole body.

I think I like Rich Harden, he holds his arms close, kicks his knee up pretty high and follows through on the delivery. Also, the leg kick is up there and it's also at the same angle as Clay.

I like Alex Gordon for Mike Lowell (haven't tried Sandberg yet...)

Gen. 86/87 (can't remember which) for Mike Cameron.

What about Mark Derosa for Scutaro? Same bat angle and he has that weird timing kick with his front foot before he swings.

Pedroia: All brown glove, black bat (I use gray for his bat handle as his bat handles have looked a bit faded)

My fault, I copied and pasted my post from the 2010 Batting/Accessory thread. I made the right correction later in that thread about Tek, but I copied the wrong post. Sorry.

But yes, for Varitek, what you said - long pants now, with a shin guard, no elbow guard. I actually want him to start wearing his pants high now, I'm so used to it and he looks weird with them long lol.
