I think it's dumb myself but raise the velocity of your other pitches.

what good does raising the other pitches do? if you raise all do you then throw a 100mph fastball?

Balances things out, so you aren't throwing a 99 mph fastball and a 80 mph changeup.

Logic goes if you have the arm power to throw one pitch fast, all pitches should be faster in comparison

the original post is saying that he has his velocity maxed out and is only throwing a 92 mph fastball, the point of the thread is that he cant get his player to throw a 99 mph fastball.

If this is anything like 08 (the last time I played RTTS), then yes, raising the velocity on your other pitches will increase the velocity on your fastball. To throw 100 mph, you should have your other pitches maxed.

Weird... I don't remember it being like that in '09, which I thought was a welcomed change from '08. But my pitcher only has a 60 velocity rating right now so we'll see what happens when I raised that a little.

im not 100% sure, but i think you have to increase your arm strength too. i remember asking the same thing from 08 or 09 (not sure which one) and thats the answer im pretty sure i got.

                      Also IIRC,

                      1. The faster your Fastball, the faster your changeup.

                      2. Training in Changeup Velocity actually slows down your changeup (a good thing).

I thought that was proven wrong, but I don't remember for certain.

Of course, the easiest way to test this is to Create a new player (not RTTS), so you can set the stats manually, instead of having to train points. Then you can play around with them, and see which stats need to be adjusted to get the desired effect.
