    ***Phillyfan23's LEGEND Sliders***

this is for users who find default legend hitting too easy and use CLASSIC pitching and there are plenty of those people on this board. THe cpu hitting is toned down because default legend they just are too good with classic pitching and it's too hard to strike them out. Even with the cpu hitting toned down, these sliders still favor the cpu. It's challenging, but it's fair and possible to dominate teams with good pitching performances. I use classic and that's the only way to go for me, since i tried meter tonight with control and consistency 0 and still threw strikes when i wanted.

    Ok here we go............

    USER

    contact 0/10
    timing 0/10
    power 2/10
    fouls 5/10
    solid hits 0/10
    starter stamina 5/10
    reliever stamina 3/10
    pitcher control 5/10
    pitcher consistency 5/10

    CPU

    contact 2/10
    power 2/10
    timing 2/10
    fouls 0/10
    solid hits 1/10
    starter stamina 5/10
    reliever stamina 3/10
    pitcher control 7/10
    pitcher consistency 8/10
    strike frequency 2/10
    manager hook 4/10
    pickoffs 5/10

    Global

Everything default , except 0/10 for fielder speed and 4/10 each for steal ability and steal frequency and pitch speed at 6/10

5 games with these sliders and they are great if you are a veteran show player and understand the game in depth.

I haven't ever tried classic pitching, so I'm going to give it a try. I'll post results after my game.

How are these sliders working out for everyone? Philly I'm curious to know why you have solid hits at 3 for both human and cpu? Seems like this year everyone has it at 0. I'm going to try these out for few games to see how well they play out for me. And I wanted to know if people are seeing a realistic amount of errors?

just updated my sliders....and solid hits are at 0 for human and 1 for cpu.

Philly are you seeing enough errors with these sliders?

Do you use the power swing, or contact only? If you do use the power swing, what changes to these would you suggest for someone that does use contact only?

Ok I thought I'd give you some feedback on your sliders (although my contact/power/solid hits are different for reasons explained below)

First of all, I'm using it for my RTTS LF, who after three years (1 1/2 yrs of these sliders, slightly modded) is batting .240-270 in AAA this year so far. CPU power and contact needed to be raised because 9/10 games were low scoring games (1-0, 2-0, 2-1, etc)

Also, I raised Human contact, power and solid hits to account for my minor league skill (or lack thereof). I plan on lowering them again when I reach the bigs.

The main triumph of these sliders of yours are the pitching sliders.
the 7-8-2 for control-consistency-strike freq is the bomb. Pitchers will go after hitters, pitch around hitters, walk hitters, hit the corners, etc. all the things i was looking for. great job.

(Legend, Use Lstick by positioning in a predetermined spot [I sit on pitches, such as inside fastball, low offspeed, etc] and i use guess pitch on no feedback)

Truly realistic for someone who actually enjoys a challenge. and believe me, with ALL F stats, its a little steep, but i'm not complaining, everyone hits .250 sometimes

                      Re: ***Phillyfan23's LEGEND Sliders***

Glad there is a base set of sliders that appear to be pretty much on point for a starting point for LEGEND MODE!

I started to find my niche in legend mode the minute it was introduced last year...i work nights and usually have plenty of time to post on OS and plan on trying to post somewhat regulary as long as this thread continues to gain some steam.

quick notes: i play with guess pitch, guess location OFF, i play with strike zone OFF, with hot/cold zones OFF, ball marker to fade on pitching...

Also like to use classic pitching as of a few days ago ( i think it adds to the realism of the game by A)not having to pay attention to the meter thus allowing more attention to the details of the game that we all love and B)you aren't always going to hit your spots thus more walks which is realistic and missed spots can turn into long balls which is realistic...

Also going to switch to AUTO FIELDING instead of manual since it seems that manual has a bit of "auto" to it anyway...plus i'll leave it on MANUAL THROWING which will allow still to load throws properly and to be honest little fielding mistakes can mean the difference between a win and a loss. The CPU still does make mistakes and errors but they aren't obvious blunders like totally wrong route to the ball.

But till opening day i think i'm gonna play these sliders on HALL OF FAME to get the feel for them leading up to opening day next week when hopefully i'll get my franchise underway using all teams and inserting injuries.
