For the uninitiated
I am so confused, when the patch comes out for the rosters on monday, what do i need to do to keep the computer from making crazy roster moves and trades without my knowledge. Let me also say that I am all about actual gameplay, and would like as little control of the computer teams as possible while still producing a realistic result, any help would be appreciated.Tags: None -

30 team control
No profile for the other teams....GLOBAL options...AUTO on everything except TRADES...put that MANUAL.
The CPU for some reason will still OFFER trades to you and each other.
You'll see every trade offer in the league as if you were getting it...you can simply do which ones you want to go through....and decline the others.
The CPU will handle everything else for itself.

So if you put everything but trades on auto does that mean the cpu is going to do all the other moves for your team except trades? My suggestion.

Re: For the uninitiated
No...your profile...you set how you want ...everything manual...a mix of CPU and manual...whatever you like.
The GLOBAL options...pertain to whatever teams have the NO PROFILE set as their associated profile.
Your team will have your profile(Vern for example)

MK- I am still trying to get my arms around this. If I do this, I still need to update the rosters after ST right?No...your profile...you set how you want ...everything manual...a mix of CPU and manual...whatever you like.

That is the part I don't get. The Sox had Cameron batting 9th after ST following what you suggest. I don't care if Cameron goes 0-100 in ST, he ain't batting 9th. It seems that SCEA is torn - make a game that is realistic now, or one that is realistic 15 years from now in franchise. And it doesn't seem we can have both.
Why not 2 sets of rosters? One for franchise, and one for "the now"? Seems to me the issue is the player potential rating. Wouldn't two sets of rosters fix this? I for one don't care to play 15 seasons out, only to see AROD on the Sox at 43 years old. I understand some like it. It just seems hard to satisfy both styles.Comment

You can set the lineup/rotation to manual so you can set the cpu lineups and rotation.MK- I am still trying to get my arms around this. If I do this, I still need to update the rosters after ST right?

Will the cpu teams still sign free agents and make other, non-trade player movements?13-Time World Champions: 1929, 1930, 1931, 1936, 1939, 1944, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1996, 2010
