Rams #1 Pick: Suh or Bradford?

    Suh all the way ...
Bradford is too much of a question mark, he injured his shoulder twice last season. I don't care how good Bradford looks at the combine, you can't pass up on Ndamukong Suh.

If they take Bradford, this is what will happen to the Rams GM, while Suh is racking up pro bowls.
    My Teams:
    NCAA FB-Oregon Ducks
    NCAA BB-Gonzaga Bulldogs
    NBA-Portland Trail Blazers
    NFL-Carolina Panthers
    MLB-San Francisco Giants
    NHL-Los Angeles Kings
Won't change this signature until Oregon wins a national championship (started 3/10/10)

The problem is: nobody cares about the Rams. They're a Micky Mouse franchise. Small potatoes. I'm thinking maybe the NFL should sell them to the Arena League...

Suh, no questions asked. You can always pick up a Vet QB in the FA Market or draft a QB in the later rounds.

Suh. Rebuild from the trenches out. Bring in some caretaker until you have something there for a young QB to use. No point in bringing in Bradford and turning him into the next David Carr or Tim Couch. Jeff Garcia can still play and I bet he'd like another shot to start for a couple of season. Not like this QB class is all that great anyway.

In all seriousness, Clausen. But if I had too chose, Bradford. You can't rely on a guy you pick up in the later rounds, and veteran qbs are just that, veteran. They won't be as good as long as the Rookie qb.

Well Suh is once in a decade type guy. I'd rather build around him rather than picking up a rookie QB. Like what Metallicatz sayed, the QB class isn't that great anyway. Who knows, a Vet QB might do what Kerry Collins did for the Titans in the 2008 Season.

Your second argument doesn't make any sense since Sanchez hasn't been a good NFL quarterback.

Yeah, I don't think Sanchez is good or anything. If he went to the Rams he'd probably have been labeled a bust by now. I was mostly just arguing for the sake of arguing.

I'm actually pretty conflicted about this. No matter who the Rams choose next year, they're going to be terrible. If there were a John Elway or Peyton Manning caliber QB prospect, I'd say the Rams should take a QB, but since they're choosing between two junior QBs who have massive flaws as prospects, I think I'd just take Suh.

Suh isn't even the consensus best DT in the class in the eyes of some analysts. Chris Long was considered #1 overall pick material. You don't remember everyone proclaiming Matt Ryan the worst first round QB prospect in years and saying that in any other year he'd be lucky to crack the first round? He was a very flawed prospect. He's probably less flawed than Bradford or Clausen, but that's mostly due to the fact that those two are leaving for the draft after their junior years.

I thought that Matt Ryan would be a bust, but I was alone in that. The consensus was that he was a very good pick and as much as I didn't feel he was very good, I think Clausen is a lot worse and Bradford needs to be on a team with a very good line.

Anyone who doesn't think that Suh blows away McCoy and Long didn't watch him play.

                      You are not.

I'm still stunned that Ryan didn't turn into a bust.

if bradford does good on his pro day than draft him. The thing is the rams could trade for an experiance dt.

I just can't see the Rams picking Bradford over Suh, Bradford is way to questionable. I'd be shocked if Suh became a bust, but it can still happen. Even if Suh became a bust, you can't really blame the Rams for drafting him.

personally i would chose neither. I believe 1 mccoy is a better D-tackle due to the fact that he has not been hurt and his knees are not questionable and 2 Clausen is better than bradford. probably the most nfl ready junior QB to ever enter a draft and i am not the only one who believes that. Jimmy boy comes out of a better system has better arm strength and is not coming off of a shoulder surgery

I would go with Bradford and not think twice. He would be a great prospect in his own right if not for the shoulder which I think is a bit overrated.

Let him sit for a couple of years while you build your offense.
