    Shortest Game Length?

What is the quickest you guys have been able to get through a game? I wish I could finish a game in about 20 minutes like I used to be able to do with High Heat.
    Thanks in advance.

Without changing the amount of innings; fast play is going to be your friend.

Still takes about 30min or so to finish a game in fast play though...

I have yet to play a game that takes less than 1 hr 15 min. Most are 1 and a half +...

          Re: Shortest Game Length?

As a sports gamer with much less free time than he did a few years ago, I've been experimenting finding ways to both get through single games quicker than the hour it takes, and get through a season faster so I can enjoy the strategy associated with building a team over multiple seasons.

To me, the biggest hurdle to get over is the fear of simulating. That's why I've decided if I want to play a 9 inning game in 30 minutes, I can only play like 5 innings. So I play the first three, simulate to the eighth, and finish out the game. Then I play maybe a few games like that each month (probably more later in the season), but it's been good.

I know it isn't for everyone because they feel like if they didn't "earn" each stat, it feels wrong. To me, the simulating allows the players to generate stats based off their ratings, which I like.

Anyway, long story to a short question, try simulating some innings to get to that 20-30 minute goal.

That's true, but it's the only thing I can think of.

The game has different options allowing a casual gamer to speed up the game; or like the one poster mentioned you can sim innings. But the game has so many little details to it as well that playing it in 20 minutes without simming or skipping over things is not going to happen. It takes 5 minutes to get a pitcher warmed up it seems like, but you can turn that option off. The scouting report for each player is insane and in tight situations just figuring out who to bring in when can take minutes. Personally I play a franchise sort of like the one gamer said; I sim some. I have to sim here and there or else I won't get past May because my games take an hour to complete almost each time. When I want something quick I will play my RTTS guy because I can finish something up with him in about 15 or 20 minutes.

My games take about 45 minutes.

I skip batter walk ups and between inning stuff so that has some impact on the game length.

I miss the old baseball games that took 30 minutes lol. On NBA or NHL games you could play half of a real game in 45 minutes.
