When can we get the first update with minor leaguers?

Unless a player has played an MLB game then there will be no real player names with a roster update. Minor league players will have to be renamed by the user. Remember, there is a player edit limit though for changing their names.

Here's the direct quote from the interview:

We can look at that two different ways. One is no limits on anything we can edit about a player. The other is a no limit on how many players you can edit with certain things like batting stances & pitching windups.

I myself am very disappointed in this problem. I mean there's definitely an edit limit for name changes in the game. There doesn't appear to be an edit limit on other aspects of a player.

It ruins franchise mode to place a CAP on how many player names you can edit/change. The bigger problem is that we get no answers about this from 2K Sports.

What was the fact behind the quoted statement above? Was it supposed to be no CAP limits on everything about a player or just that we could edit certain aspects of a player without limits on how many we could do? It's not clear but we continue to wait for the facts & answers. Way to go 2K Sports!

It could be a glitch and maybe it can be fixed in the upcoming patch i hope to god its fixed in a patch cause the limit ruins the game for me ....

It wasn't fixed last year & we were told it was fixed(NO CAP limit) this year before the game was released.

i think they are being misleading... editing NAMES and editing ATTRIBUTES are two different things. i think nothing will change, and that's garbage. funny...i bought this game the next day it came out but still haven't opened it. still can't make up my mind. reading numerous observations and just riding it out to see if i'll keep it or not...

The funny thing is that I still haven't opened my box yet either. I'm just going by reports. I do have the demo & it plays a good game of baseball.

However, if this player edit limit thing isn't addressed then I'm probably taking my copy back to Gamestop. This ruins franchise mode & this is the part of the game that means the most to me!

The funny thing is that I still haven't opened my box yet either. I'm just going by reports. I do have the demo & it plays a good game of baseball.

Just edit the minor leaguers for the team you are using..

You're missing my point. I realize we have enough edit space to change your favorite teams player names. The limit doesn't do any god for true franchise guys like me.

We want accurate & detailed rosters with real life player matches. This can't be done with what 2K Sports has done to us again. They like to cripple us with roster management.

Is it possible for someone to do their limit, upload to 2k Share, and then have another person do the same thing, or is it 150 max for that roster file.


Either way pretty ridiculous. I mean I'm still having fun with the game, but that just ticks me off. I had 08, no edit limits, was hoping for 2k share in that, I skipped 09 (wouldn't have got it if there were no glitches, didn't even look at purchasing) and now here in 2k10 with 2k share we're worse off. Ridiculous.

You're right harsh! It doesn't work that way! It's ridiculous! What ticks me is that we get no explanations or answers either from Ronnie or anyone else associated with 2K Sports.

I wonder what the reasoning is for putting a cap on the number of players you can edit? Does it have anything at all to do with the Keller/EA lawsuit? Like others have said, 2K8 let you edit everyone without any restrictions, so I wonder why 2K CHOOSES to handcuff us like this?

Thinking on this more, it can't be due to EA's lawsuit troubles... If that were so, there would be NO editing minor leaguers. Also, I believe there are still real players in the minor leagues in the game (James Hunter; Jason Heyward).

It really is baffling and it looks to me like 2K just straight up lied to us about roster restrictions.

Amen! It's disappointing to say the least. It does appear that we were flat out lied to. The thing that makes me so mad is that 2K Sports goes into hiding about answering why this happened. They just disappear & leave us hanging. That's bad business.

This would be like me in my construction business telling a customer they were getting a new roof & then not doing it. I know I wouldn't treat my customers this way but 2K Sports seems to not care.
