Some Wonderlic scores

Tim Tebow 22
Jimmy Clausen 23
Colt McCoy 25
Sam Bradford 36

I always find these interesting. If anyone else has more scores do put them up.

I was reading this on SI a second ago. What can scouts accurately derive from a player's score?

Dan Marino scored a 15, Brian Griese scored a 39. The Wonderlic is meaningless.

Wow Oscar Davenport from UNC scored a 6 about 10 years ago.

I think the Colts actually take the Wonderlic into great consideration. I'm not sure what scouts can derive from them, but I know a lot of the players on the Colts roster scored highly on that test.

Of the quarterbacks listed that have won at least one Superbowl the average score is 28.

But it gets more interesting. Of the QBs who have won MULTIPLE Superbowls, the average score is 26. Mind you, this is primarily due to Terry Bradshaw's score of 15 to go with his 4 SB wins.

And yes I quoted myself. :cavalry:

Eli Manning is the only Superbowl winning QB to score over 35.

I wouldn't call it meaningless, it just has to be used in context just like 40 times and the number of times you can bench 225. Some guys may just not be all that bright, but for the most part I think the test can give an indication of how serious a player is taking the process, which can be key in how serious they'll take the transition from college to the pros. I think lower scores is more an indication of not caring enough to take it seriously than anything else.

Didn't Vince Young score a 2 on his before they let him retake it?
