Here are the moves I've made during the offseason:
Traded Shawn Horcoff, Andrew Cogliano and Riley Nash to Ottawa for Jason Spezza and Anton Volchenkov (This traded was supposed to go down at the deadline and many believe it will happen at the deadline.)
Released Ethan Moreau, Fernando Pisani, Mike Comrie and Robert Nilsson.
My Lines as of last game(4-1 Loss to Vancouver) :
Svensson(from SEL) - Gagner - Hall
O'Sullivan - Potulny - Jones
Stortini - Brule - Minard
Whitney - Gilbert
Johnson - Volchenkov
Peckham - Strudwick
Khabibulin
Deslauriers
- I'm 4-3-1 so far but have lost 3 straight. Dustin Penner leads the team with 6 points(5G-1A) and Spezza(1G-4A) and Eberle(2G-2A) are 2nd and 3rd.
- Jordan Eberle got his first NHL goal in a 5-2 win over Calgary in Game 3 of the season.
- Taylor Hall scored his first NHL goal against Nashville, tying the game up with 1.3 seconds left. He has 1 goal and 1 assist but has been the most dangerous player other than Penner and Eberle.
- MPS has had the hardest time fitting into the team, scoring his first NHL goal in last nights game vs Vancouver. He has 1 goal and is a team-worst -4.
- Sheldon Souray is serving a 5-game suspension(my choice) after he drilled Dominic Moore from behind and put Moore out for 2 months with Broken ribs.
- Ales Hemsky is out a month with a wonky groin. Ladislav Smid is back for my next game after missing the last 4 with a fractured jaw.
- I am going to give all the rookies the 10-game tryout period as in the NHL. Right now it looks like MPS is the only one who will be sent back to the SEL. Allowing Hemsky to take his spot once he returns
- For those who are wondering Tyler Seguin leads all rookies with 5 points(2G-3A) and Cam Fowler has 2 assists and leads all rookies with a +5 rating.
