I am obsessed with the show. The dev's at san diego studios know what they are doing. I am kind of starting this thread as a petition for san diego studios to hopefully look at this thread one day soon(crossing fingers and praying)and see all the peoples thoughts and words about a college baseball game. I know that san diego studios would have to hire a whole new team but they would still kick but. I would love if they would the same graphics and physics engines as the show but with college teams, as many stadiums as possible, and college atmosphere with the import, export feature so we could import our college class to the show. I know alot of people who have only 360's but would go to the ps3 just for this. I really feel that this would be a huge success. Please leave your thoughts and if you think it would be a good idea and would you but this product. THANK YOU.

College Baseball
First off I'm starting this thread to get peoples thoughts and opinions and whether or not they would but a college baseball game.

Re: College Baseball
Even if there was an some kind of interest SCEA would probably have to ask EA sorts if it would be okay, as EA had the exclusive contract to do NCAA baseballNHL: Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks
OHL: London Knights
MLB: Miami Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays
Frontier League baseball: London RippersComment

Re: College Baseball
I have been beggin SECA for 2 years now. EA gave up their NCAA baseball rights 3 years ago after 2007 dropped. The plan should be SCEA release a college baseball game in Feb and then MLB in April. It makes perfect sense!Comment

Re: College Baseball
Yes you are correct but it has yet to be tried for the next gen system(ps3). With all they can do with the ps3(the show for example)and the fact that a team like san diego studios doing the game it has a higher chance for success than ea sports ever had.Comment

Re: College Baseball
Whats the point? Its still a market that is low, all SCEA would have to do is look at the sales numbers from MVP College Baseball and that would turn them away. It doesn't matter how great the game is that SCEA would release, there is no market for the series. Thats the reason why the college basketball games have all been canceled and a lot more people pay attention to college bball then baseball. They would most likely end up losing money which is something a company never wants to do. The game would no doubt be great if it was just like The Show but would not sell.Comment

Re: College Baseball
so they can lose millions of dollars on a product that there is no market for? I mean EA couldnt sell it and that game was great. if a great game cant make it then whats the point?
Hypothetical
Lets say they do this, they would have to split the current show team up to make the college game and then the show wouldnt be as good and the college game wouldnt be as good. so overall your product gets worse because you wont have the same team working the same game.
and when you say you know tons of people who would buy it, you and 10 of your friends isnt a ton. Sorry to burst your bubble but no reason to keep this goin, its not gonna happen. Games cost too much money these days to take a risk anymore, which does suckComment

Re: College Baseball
No.
MVP 2005 was successful and everyone loved that game. NCAA Baseball dropped, people didn't flock towards the title.
MLB The Show is successful, and odds are, if NCAA dropped from SCEA, the same exact outcome would happen. The only positive and reason I would buy the game is if they had a RTTS type mode in NCAA that was exportable into The Show.Comment
