Best contracts you've ever handed out

Just wondering what are some of the best contracts you've ever handed out in Be-A-GM mode or your Franchise mode?

One of my best was in a sim dynasty on NHL 10, all I did was simulate games and just mess around with the GM aspect. I signed (D) Adam Larrsson, who was sitting in free agency, to a six year, $800K contract.

At the time, he was in the mid-70's with A potential, and within 3-4 years he was an 88 and signed for $800K!

I don't remember a lot of mine but recently in a dynasty I was simming and screwing around with I signed Alex Semin to a 6 year 2.5 Million contract. Best I can think of.

Michael Grabner(83) the next year to for 6 years 1.5m.
I here he get into the 90's in a few years(2-3).
He upgraded 4 points in the minors lasts year,& not is on my NHL team.

Wow, that is one hell of a nice contract considering it's Semin.

Michael Grabner(83) the next year to for 6 years 1.5m.
I here he get into the 90's in a few years(2-3).
He upgraded 4 points in the minors lasts year,& not is on my NHL team.

Honestly, most players go into the 90's within a few years. They need to work on the development process, make it so that not every single player becomes a superstar.

It's all the potential rating,Mason Raymond & Kesler only progressed 1-2 points & they were more productive,+ they asked for 2 times as much when it came to signing them.


With Grabner moving up to my NHL team I expect him to be 90 by next year.
I'm only in year 2 with my FD chise, so we''l see how it goes.

I picked up Kesler on the FA market, 3.05M for 4 years. I'm only 10 games into the new season but he's already by best scorer with 19 points, he plays great with Sean Avery

It's all the potential rating,Mason Raymond & Kesler only progressed 1-2 points & they were more productive,+ they asked for 2 times as much when it came to signing them.

I'm only in year 2 with my FD chise, so we''l see how it goes.

I don't know if you've played with player ratings or not but Raymond jumps about 5-10 points a season in my dynasty.

I figured if I scored more points with these guys they'd progress more, but it didn't work so well for me. Both were on my 2nd line.

Come to think about it my 1st liners didn't progress that well either.
Crosby +1 Brown +1 & Hall +4
Most of my 3rd & 4th liners did ok though,& my AHL did good as well.
They started in the mid 70's & most are in the mid 80's now.

I don't know if you've played with player ratings or not but Raymond jumps about 5-10 points a season in my dynasty.

I just checked Toews only went up 1 point on the lowly Oilers they were 2nd or 3rd worst them last year.
Stamkos went up 3 Kane went up 2.

Oh, I was actually referring to the individual points, not overall. That makes sense though.

The best I've seen is Matt Duchene who went from 80 to 85 overall on a 90 point season and Patrick Kane went from 83 to 88 after a 60 point season.

Yeah a bunch of my guys went up a 17 points individually.
I got Duchene up to 81 from 79.
Eberle went from 79 to 84 & won me the Frank J. Selke Trophy.
He is my best progressing prospect so far.
Taylor Hall went form 84 to 88 & won the Calder

Kesler was on the PK & had like 20-30 SH goals.
Kesler is a beast for me.

I don't know if it's a glitch or not, but right handed shooters breaking out on the the right side on the PK always score for me, it's like 85-90%.
Win the faceoff get it to your left handed PLY & streak down the left side pull the brakes to get the defence off balance & make a quick pass for a 1 timer. Works almost every time if you time it perfect.
I also have my defence,breakout, & forecheck on max.
