anyone still playing this game?

just wondering...
If you do, why you keep playing this game?

I remember i was really hooked when it was released, but after waiting that long for the patch my hype went away.

Because I'm unaware of anything in the same genre that's better?

Really, aside from the crashing/freezing issues I occasionally get (it took me 3 times to get through the draft tonight), and the fact that the two minute warning makes any team you're playing about 3x as likely to score as normal, I'm just about perfectly happy with this game.

If you find something that plays head coach style better than head coach, let me know.

I still play. I enjoy the depth of the player movement, coaching strategy, etc.

I thought Madden 10 would import a lot of the detail into its "coach mode", but it paled in comparison to HC09. Aside from not having new rosters, it's still a relevant game.

Just picked it up again and started playing. There's no other football sim like this out there, and I enjoy playing it.

I still play, I tend to play alot for a while since the game is so addictive, then stop playing it for a few months then get back at it again.

I go in spurts with this game. I'll play through several seasons in a couple of weeks, then I'll go 2-3 months without touching the game. I've been thinking of firing the game up again, though.

This time, I'm just going to use default sliders. It seems that the sliders are pretty much broken in this game; they'll fix some things but not others.

still play it... I can't believe how close they came to a BRILLIANT game. If they had only finished and polished it a little more.

After you build up a team you can win too easily...

Things that should have/could have been better:

Play creator (unfinished)

AI playbooks (if I could find a way to put in some better playbooks for the AI, it would be a huge improvement)

AI team building (seriously why doesn't the AI build better teams?)

Defense logic is unbalanced, particularly the "awareness" factor, for example on any running play the defense recognizes it and hones in on the ball carrier like a laser... LBs shoot through gaps like gazelles while the RBs wander around the backfield waiting to be tackled and then the same defense on pass plays doesn't react... you have to play man2man because DBs and LBs can't play zone worth a dime. Man2Man is better versus pass and run.

camera angles/views... OMG they are awful

still a good game... I hope they don't scrap it... it could be a 10 with a little effort

I still play...I have all but one achievement! Just need to hit all season goals, and that's a toughie.

I usually only play it during the football season, I think I'm on my seventh year.

Oh and on the 2minute warning/CPU getting on a roll thing? Espeically in the 4th qtr when CPU has the ball and is on the move, running hurry up in 2min drill, I find if I use my timeouts you have a good chance to 'break' their roll.
