need help on fielding controls in My Player
 

When I playing defence in My Player mode I can't figure out which gamepad button makes my fielder leap to catch the ball. In 2k9 I used "X" button and it worked pretty well (jump/leap/climb the wall), I guess it works in 2k10 in exhibition mode also. But in My Player when I press "X" button the only thing I can do is throw to first base. No jump/leap/climb the wall ever.
My catching rating is 80, the others are about 77-80. Do I need to progress further to start leaping? Any help is much appreciated.

so to wall climb you need to press X immediatly when prompted and if your fielder has enough range he'll rob the HR

There's a timing issue to consider, too; it's not just based on the rating of your fielder.

When the "X" pops up, I'll press and hold for 1-2 seconds, then release when my fielder is about to step on the warning track. This usually triggers an animation of him leaping to make the catch. Hold it too long and your fielder doesn't jump, but instead makes a throw to 1B when he picks up the ball. Fail to release at the right moment, and your fielder just stands there as the ball hits the wall or goes out of the park.
