My first dynasty

Hello guys!
I'm new in OS and i'm hungry to start my first dynasty. First, i have to choose a team. So give me your opinions on what team should I pick.
I would be grateful if you help me with this. As I'm new I do not know how this forum works.

Have a look around the active dynasties and list the ones that aren't been used. Then choose a team that you want to use from the list, that's how I chose Montreal.

Welcome to the boards, you can either go with your favorite team (which by the logo you sport I'd say is the leafs) or one that hasn't been done recently. Here is a short list:

Ok here we go!
I choose Nashville Predators. The game is NHL 2k10 and I want to do a Dynasty as realistic as possible. I will try to be very interactive as well, and will make my GM decisions based on your comments. So please comment at will.
I will use an updated roster and original 6 sliders (very realistic stats).
I'm still deciding how to do the layout. I'll start as soon as I get the grips on the layout. If you have some ideas, I'll be grateful.

Season Preview

Nashville Predators are one of the youngest teams in the NHL, having their debut in 1998. The Predators has achieved a relative success, with 3 playoffs appearances in the last 4 years. However, never got past the first round.
In recent years there have been rumors of a possible sale and relocation, but the city of Nashville does not want to see the Predators leave.
David Poile is the General Manager of the Predators since the beginning, but if the team does not achieve good results he's place may be at risk.
Predators are members of the Central Division, with Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis Blues.
Its main objective is the presence in the playoffs, but to be able to do that the team will need to improve over last year.

AND THE SEASON BEGINS

This is the day that we were all waiting for. Our Nashville Predators prepare themselves for the season opener against the Dallas Stars, at American Airlines Center. Predators Head Coach, Barry Trotz, said to our newspaper that it's very important to win the first game of the season and asked all Predators fans to support the team all season long. Due to financial difficulties, if by the end of the season the team does not average 14,000 spectators per game, the team can break its lease with the city of Nashville. We dont want that. So all to Bridgestone Arena!

DUMONT SCORE TWICE ON VICTORY OVER STARS

The Predators won the first game of the season, in Dallas. Jean-Pierre Dumont was hot, scoring two goals in the third period. Dallas open the score, but the Predators came out really strong in the last period, where they score three goals. Mike Ribeiro's goal still gave some hope to the Stars, but Pekka Rinne denied the tie.

I was looking to my roster and I'm desperately in need of a 30's goalscorer. I have to clear some salary cap too. So who do you think he could be? And who I trade for him?
Don't forget I'm trying to do this as realistic as possible.

Don't forget I'm trying to do this as realistic as possible.

You could look into picking up either Knuble, Burrows or Frolov, they are all inexpensive 30 goal scorers. But I don't know who you might give up to aquire one of them.

Maybe you should trade Joel Ward to some old veteran like Knuble. I have also noticed, that David Legwand has got a great wrist shot (atleast in NHL 10, don't about 2k10. Maybe shooting more with him?
